Yes, Thank you. Like I said, if I had studied it from a romantic stand point alone I believe I would have enjoyed it more. I just really dislike how everyone I talked to said that Jane was independent. We had this debate in class and when I voice my opinion everyone in the class look at me weird and then it was the class against me in this debate.
I just don't see how this is feminism lit. From what I got it was because she was a not very pretty girl who still fell in love and the man loved her back. (and of course cause she left after she found out he already had a wife)
I just don't understand how her not being pretty and then still refusing to marry him is very feminist. I mean, this was the big point we were going over in class and it irritated me to death.
I'm just ranting, I'm sorry.
