A groan emitted from the male's throat as he came to consciousness, unbearably bright light forcing him to squeeze his eyes shut in pain. Ugh, his head hurt like hell, and he felt something soft give away beneath his hands. There was also an odd hushing sound, and he carefully cracked open his eyelids to inspect his surroundings.
What the hell... Jaw dropped in surprise, he was met with the scenery of a pristine ocean, and the softness he felt was sand. All around him, lush tropical plants reached toward the sky, palm fronds gently swaying in the light breeze. The first place that came to mind was Yakushima, though he had no idea how he had arrived to such a place, much less alone.
Well, if he really was in Yakushima, then this wasn't so bad. Heck, this can be a secret little vacation, even if he saw no one else in the vicinity. Jumping to his feet and brushing off the sand from his clothing, Junpei affixed a content grin before venturing out to explore the place, the mysteries of how he got here not bothering him at all.
