He was out on the Iwatodai strip mall wandering about for a lack of anything better to do when, out of his peripheral vision, he caught sight of a girl staring at him. Huh, that was strange. Careful to look inconspicuous, he stole glances at her as well, curious as to why he of all people had been picked out from the crowd. Maybe she went to Gekkoukan as well? However, no recognition sparked.

Hm, it wouldn't hurt to interject her path and strike up a conversation. She was the one checking him out in the first place anyway. Putting on an air of nonchalance, Junpei avoided directing his line of sight in her direction as he approached her until they were a few paces apart. Then, as if surprised to venture so close, he shifted his vision directly to her.

"Oh hey, didn't see you there." His lips stretched into a grin, dipping his head slightly as if in apology. "What's a pretty girl like you doing all alone here?" He kept his tone light, careful to not appear too invasive.

A groan emitted from the male's throat as he came to consciousness, unbearably bright light forcing him to squeeze his eyes shut in pain. Ugh, his head hurt like hell, and he felt something soft give away beneath his hands. There was also an odd hushing sound, and he carefully cracked open his eyelids to inspect his surroundings.

What the hell... Jaw dropped in surprise, he was met with the scenery of a pristine ocean, and the softness he felt was sand. All around him, lush tropical plants reached toward the sky, palm fronds gently swaying in the light breeze. The first place that came to mind was Yakushima, though he had no idea how he had arrived to such a place, much less alone.

Well, if he really was in Yakushima, then this wasn't so bad. Heck, this can be a secret little vacation, even if he saw no one else in the vicinity. Jumping to his feet and brushing off the sand from his clothing, Junpei affixed a content grin before venturing out to explore the place, the mysteries of how he got here not bothering him at all.
