Energy Works
Category: Wellness Matters
Everything that exists has its energy, including humans. Everything that exists is a part of the universal energy field. Taoists call this energy "Tao", and Buddhists call it "Brahman". Our thoughts and feelings are part of energy work too. We live in this huge space where energy waves and fields meet, unite, and intercept. Yet, most of us are not aware of that. We mostly perceive the world around us exclusively with our senses, neglecting our ability to experience it in other ways. Most of us think, feel, and make decisions based on the conclusions made in domain of the first attention - attention derived from our senses. We go through our lives having just partial knowledge about ourselves and the world around us. As long as we do not know how to recognize our own energy, we will not be able to completely know ourselves. We will continue looking for reasons of our emotional and physical issues solely through the conventional medicine eyes, while the root of many of our health problems is right in this area; our own misbalanced energy.
In order for us to develop the ability to recognize our own energy and that of others, we have to develop "the second attention". Or rather, we have to learn how to identify it, as the second attention already exists in us. The second attention is the "I am" attention that results from the awareness of existence of the "higher level of being". The "higher level of being" here translates to the ability to sense the energy in us and around us - namely universal energy, and to experience life intuitively, by the heart. It means unity of all pieces of one’s self, and synthesis of psychological and spiritual aspects of a person. This is also called psychospiritual integration.
In the posts that will follow, I will present exercises created by Keith Sherwood, the person who invested several decades in work around energy and chakra system. These exercises are meant to be done over seven days; each exercise one day. As some of them are long and complex, I broke them down and made the 11 day program. You can choose to do them over longer period of time if you want to repeat particular exercise before you move on.
When you successfully complete these exercises, you will become aware of your energy system and any blockages that may exist and prevent energy to flow freely through your system. You will also learn how to clear these blockages and change unhealthy energy frequencies into healthy ones. Be patient and allow yourself enough time to learn and adopt these exercises, as if this is completely new to you, at the beginning it may be hard to grasp the complexity of exercises and the philosophy beyond the energy works.
For these exercises you will need a recent full body image, your full body image from puberty years, and your full body image from the childhood.
Stay tuned for the Day 1 exercise!
