second part of spring
It’s already have been a month since the new semester started, four weeks passed with photography class on Mondays and Fridays, meaning two times a week with Min Yoongi sitting on his desk and talking about cameras and the different ways to capture a photo. Taehyung was never someone too interested in photography and such, but the way Yoongi talked and had a little fond smile on his face made Taehyung love everything about it. For that Friday they had to take several photos of a place they felt most relaxed at, place that made them feel those special feeling when you are somewhere filled with memories. For Taehyung that happened to be the beach, he remembered most of his summers when he was little on that exact same beach, surrounded by other kids, chasing the seagulls. He found himself smiling while looking out the window of the bus, headed towards that favorite place of his. He remembered all the nights he spent on the shore, listening to the water and letting the breeze make his hair a total mess, but he felt amazing. Being able to look at all the stars and all the sunrises, the sun literally coming out of the water, it was too beautiful and Taehyung wanted to show that beauty to Yoongi. He choose to ignore how often he was thinking about the older male, telling himself it’s normal to think so much about someone so interesting, so beautiful. His thoughts came to a stop as the bus took a turn to the bus stop, passengers rising from their sits and stretching stiff limbs from the long ride. Taehyung was at the very back of the bus, deciding it was better to wait for everyone to get off before he even stood up, he took out his phone to check the time. He saw that Jimin, one boy from the photography class, very nice and fun, texted him a short ‘call me when you’re here.’ with the dot at the end. It just happened that Taehyung’s favorite place was five minutes away from Jimin’s hometown, the boy excitingly offering Taehyung a tour and how could anyone refuse Jimin. Finally getting out the bus, Taehyung decided to first visit the place that was calling for him for year, the last four years he couldn’t have the chance to visit and he longed to feel that soft sand under his feet, to breathe in the ocean air, he will call Jimin later. He took down the all too familiar road with quickened pace, thinking about when to take off his shoes, because he must take off his shoes in order to feel the sand, he must. Too lost in thoughts and debates with himself, he found himself almost running into some guy, bumping his shoulder lightly in the man. Taehyung looked up in order to apologize, or anything but his mouth was left hanging, he just couldn’t believe how the world was working. Before him was a slightly, just slightly, pissed Yoongi, for the two days they haven’t seen each other, Yoongi changed his hairstyle just slightly. He was wearing heavy earrings, converse shoes, black pants, a dress shirt(that Taehyung was sure had buttons for a reason, that Yoongi probably didn’t understand, judging from how only 1/3 of them were actually buttoned) and a vest. But the thing that caught Taehyung’s attention the most was the weird looking necklace like thing around the male’s neck, he had the unexplained need to pull at it. “Is that an actual coincidence or should I consider calling the cops?” the little smirk appearing on Yoongi’s lips made Taehyung gulp down loudly, eyes trying to look anywhere but at Yoongi, it didn’t work, Yoongi was like a magnet. “So?” “I swear I had no idea you were here too! It’s just that you don’t us to photograph whatever place makes us feel relaxed and it just happened that-“ “Hush now, calm down stalker.” Yoongi’s eyes, smokey makeup making them even more beautiful, were warm and Taehyung could literally see the older boy’s smile in them. Was there anything more beautiful than Min Yoongi? No, no there wasn’t, Taehyung quickly answered himself, nodding his head in agreement, making Yoongi cock his brow and bite on his lower lip in order not to laugh. “Let’s go.” Yoongi gently suggest, taking the little pathway that leaded down the beach, Taehyung knew that. He decided to just follow quietly, listening to Yoongi casually talking about what amazing photos he got to take today, the great food he got to eat, the amazing people he met. And Taehyung almost found himself asking ‘am I one of those amazing people?’ but decided it would be better to shut his mouth, never sure what to say in front of the older boy. Taehyung was never a quiet guy, he talked as much as he could or everything that got through his mind, but with Yoongi everything seemed different. He didn’t want to waste words for unimportant things, he wanted to say only the most important things, the things that would show Yoongi the real Taehyung, the Taehyung only his parents(and dog) know. By the time they reached the seashore, the air around them was quiet once again, comfortable as always which made Taehyung wonder why was it so comfortable around Yoongi. As Yoongi came to a sudden stop, Taehyung decided to take the lead this time, taking his shoes off first of course, leading them to his most favorite place. The pier looked the same as he remembered it, a little bit creepier thought, but that didn’t stop the smile that appeared on his face, eyes never noticing the way Yoongi’s eyes widened and cheeks flushed beautiful shade of red at the sight of smiling Taehyung. Taehyung quickly fished his camera out of the backpack, throwing the said backpack on the cold sand together with his shoes. He quickly went closer to the water, camera ricing and Yoongi could hear the click of it, smiling at the amount of times he heard it before Taehyung got back in front of him, smile never fading away even a bit. “Hyung!” Taehyung’s voice was as cheerful as his face, making that hot feeling go back to Yoongi’s face. “Pose for me!” Yoongi couldn’t quite make out what the younger boy asked of him, too busy thinking about ‘what if one day I am the reason for that sunshine smile?’ Of course until two warm hands slid around his arm, pulling him towards the water. Usually, Yoongi would never do such a thing as posing, on top posing for one of his students. But the look on Taehyung’s face, all the brightness and all the childish like happiness stopped Yoongi from just walking away. “What do I do?” he asked, stuffing hands in pockets, unsure what to do now that the camera he was so in love with was pointed towards him. “Just,” Taehyung slightly moved the device out of his face, smiling a smile that was something between warm and shy. “Just standing there is perfect.” If Yoongi was just one meter closer he would have heard the soft ‘you’re perfect’, but he wasn’t. By the time the sun was setting down, with Taehyung’s memory card almost full with photos of Yoongi by the water, Yoongi poking at a crab, Yoongi at the pier, Yoongi smiling, Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi, both of the boys were laying on the chill sand, smiles never leaving their faces as Taehyung told yet another fun episode from previous summers spent here. “You’re really good at it, by the way.” Taehyung breathes out, lungs hurting from the too much laughing. “At what? Being handsome? I know.” Taehyung’s laugh was so loud it made Yoongi sit up, furrowing his eyebrows, cutely according to Taehyung, fiercely according to Yoongi. “What was that laugh supposed to mean?!” “Nothing, nothing.” Taehyung sat up as well, nervousness slowly filling his insides. “Do you doubt my fucking appearance? Wow, amazing. And I thought I was the rude one.” Yoongi crossed his arms in front of his chest, cheeks puffed out and a visible pout on his lips. “No, no! God, no! You’re beautiful, too beautiful even. Whenever I look at you I get lost at just how amazing you are. Everything about you, not just the looks.” Before Taehyung could activate his brain to mouth filter, he spat out all the words he promised himself he never would. The shocked look on Yoongi’s face confirmed his concerns he had from the beginning, that telling Yoongi, his professor, his feeling would be a bad, bad idea. “I’m sorry! I know I shouldn’t talk like that. I’m your student, you’re my teachers…I got carried away, I’m sorry.” Taehyung felt like a huge stone was slowly falling on top of him, the weight too much for his bones. He looked away from Yoongi’s eyes, gaze falling down on the boy’s lips then the hands, fisting and unfisting in the soft fabric of the vest. It was exactly three seconds later, Taehyung counted, before those lips were on his, two seconds later those hands were in his hair, pulling him closer. It was wrong, the both knew it, but the amazing wave of emotions that ran down their bodies as lips connected was too good, too addictive. It took them exactly fifteen minutes, the both counted, before Yoongi was unlocking his hotel room with shaky hands that just wanted to get back on Taehyung’s soft and warm skin. The night was filled with ‘we shouldn’t’ and ‘it’s wrong’ from both of them, but nothing could stop the fire, now that it was lightened. They regretted it until the pleasure took control, erasing every other thought other than the need to touch more, to feel more. Later when both of them came down from their highs, bodies tangled and fingers tracing down skin, they shared a look and they were pretty sure they smiled even while sleeping that night. Nothing was wrong, nothing was regretted.
After the little one week vacation was over Taehyung had to sadly return to lectures, bumping into grumpy students all around the campus. At least his first lecture was photography, meaning Yoongi but also meaning Jimin, a pissed Jimin, a ‘why-didn’t-you-call-me-Jimin’. Yoongi and Taehyung agreed to act like nothing happened, in front of the others only of course because it was hard staying away from each other now that they have found how magical everything was when they were together, even when simply watching some crappy movie on Yoongi’s uncomfortable couch, eating tasteless popcorns. As the older male walked into the auditorium, Taehyung found his face burning, a shy smile breaking onto his face. But the second he saw Yoongi doing the same he felt relieved, he wasn’t the only one so it was okay. Today they had to show off the photos they took during the vacation, students having all different kinds of photos, from forests to even their own rooms. When it was finally Taehyung’s turn, he quietly cleared his throat, it was hard picking up photos without Yoongi on them, for 99% of them were nature plus Yoongi. He slowly went through every photo, explaining shortly what feeling he tried to capture, eyes darting towards Yoongi every few seconds. By the time he clicked on the last photo, his eyes weren’t even on the screen anymore, and nor were Yoongi’s. They shared a long look before they heard muffled laughter and when their eyes were back on the screen they froze. Taehyung could literally feel Yoongi’s aura screaming ‘I will kill you’ before he plugged out his memory card, running back to his desk, head falling on top of the surface. And it was weeks after the accident that Taehyung would pass by groups of students who whispered behind him ‘and that guy had a photo of professor Min for his project’. Taehyung could never forget the photo displayed on the huge screen in front of god knows how many people, his favorite photo of his favorite person.
