How to celebrate Pride from withIN the closet
I love you aromantics I love you asexuals I love you demi-aces and demi-aros and graysexuals and grayromantics and sex repulsed aces and sex positive aces and aro/ace people who date and aro/ace people who don't and all aspec identifying people no matter what your preferences are I love and support you all and you are all valid and if anyone implies your life is inherently worth less because you don't fit their allonormative expectations they're stupid as fuck and hellfire will rain down upon them
i had a vision please use these for good or evil or whatever
It's Mother's Day in France today, so I figured I'd share another conversation with my mom that made my day recently
casual reminder to not treat aroace people like they’re just allies this pride month
Aroace culture is finding friends you can say "I love you" to without having to worry that someone will take it in a way you definetly don't want.
.
Considering the disgusting rhetoric that keeps getting posted in our tags, I implore all aspecs to spread positivity for people all across the asexual and aromantic spectrums.
This is an incredible, compassionate community, and it includes everyone on the spectrum, including
Asexuals who experience little sexual attraction (as per the accepted definition of asexuality)
Asexuals who experience sexual attraction in a non-normative way (as per the accepted definition of asexuality)
Asexuals who experience no sexual attraction (as per the accepted definition of asexuality)
Aromantics who experience little romantic attraction (as per the accepted definition of aromanticism)
Aromantics who experience romantic attraction in a non-normative way (as per the accepted definition of aromanticism)
Aromantics who experience no romantic attractions (as per the accepted definition of aromanticism)
Aegosexuals and Aegoromantics
Apothisexuals and Apothiromantics
Cupiosexuals and Cupioromantics
Demisexuals and Demiromantics
Fraysexuals and Frayromantics
Graysexuals and Grayromantics
And more!!!
You are all welcomed and appreciated in the aspec community. You are not pushing us* out of our spaces, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
*Us meaning asexuals and/or aromantics who experience a complete lack of sexual and/or romantic attraction. I refuse to call it being ""actually asexual"" for the reasons @aroacesafeplaceforall has outlined many a time
Aspec representation is important because kids are still told in health class that everyone feels attraction
Aspec representation is important because somewhere in the world there’s a 12 year old crying because they feel broken
Aspec representation is important because I still get told “that’s not real” when I come out
Aspec representation is important because people still think the A in LGBTQIA+ stands for ally
Aspec representation is important because everyone deserves to see someone like them on screen
Aspec representation is important because people still think that asexual and aromantic are the same thing
