She Has a Second Face

Hooded eyes have taken me prisoner,  She tells me it’s okay to be this,  A woman possessing only such  Knowledge of deceit, disgust,  She knows no other way, and thus  Teaches the way she does know.  I smile, but she tells me she  Knows for a fact, it is a fake one.  She tells me that we should play A game, we should pretend we are  Upon a stage, gracing it with our  Nimble feet and blissfully soft voices.  She says that if I played Jeykll by morning,  She’d play Hyde by night. And like the  Selfish, deceitful woman she is, she reads my  Lines, too. Sometimes, I wonder if I  Exist anymore. If the second face  Ate the first, and now she is not  Two-faced, just wrong-faced.  But, who indeed must I complain  To, when the people I can talk to Have already turned their faces in pain,  In hurt, which I instilled inside of them.
