I ask a lot of questions. Sorry. So, I have written a fic for a second prompt. It didn't turn out shippy though. It's more a strangers-to-friends thing. Is that postable in the collection? If not, that's fine. After reveals, I can post it to my account and just mark it as a gift to my recipient. Since it's their prompt. I want to make sure they get credit for that. Anyway, I'd like to post it to the collection, but if only romantic/sexual relationship works are allowed, I won't. Thanks so much
Asking questions is never a bad thing, anon, no worries!
As I’ve somewhat explained here, most people expect shippy gifts/want to create shippy gifts, so you need to be ready to create as well as receive shippy content if you decide to sign up for the exchange.
This is a little bit of a different scenario, though, and you can absolutely post a pre-slash/non-shippy fic as a second gift after the exchange. That is totally okay, and I’m sure your giftee will be super happy about it.
As for adding it to the collection, you can totally do that once the official exchange is over, and the (first) gifts and authors have been revealed. You won’t be able to do so by checking the assignment box in your draft, but if you post your story, scroll to the bottom of it, and click on ‘Add To Collections’ there, you should be able to add it by typing ‘2018 WinterIron Spring Fling’ into the box that pops up.
