Meesapulimala Trek: Cotton candy clouds amidst the eight hills
Far far away from the crowds, there never has been a #traveler who has not comeback in awe from the #meesapulimala #trek. Get preped to kiss the clouds as you leap altitudes during the trek. It is one of the hidden #trekking treasures of Idukki, #kerela. The sun rising and setting in the ocean of the cotton candy clouds is a usual sight at the peak. This trek trail might come along as the hardest in this part of the country. However, you won't regret the effort with breath-taking view once you reach the highest point.
2640 meters above the sea level, the Meesapilimal Peak is a hotspot of biodiversity. Trek along the Unesco Heritage sight, 15 km on each side. The cotton candy clouds tickle the 8 hills of Meesapilumala which spreads like a “moustache”. It is a 9 hour long trek and is a moderately difficult climb. Trekkers mostly prefer the stretch from September to April.
