MOD:Each of you are given a hood. You cannot see through it and you cannot see under it. You are whisked away, through the use of magic, to a location in the woods. Your hood is promptly removed and you stand alone. A man, in full aristocratic attire, sits before you by a table cloaked in a white cloth. Upon it are trays of delicacies such as small finger sandwiches and cakes. He plucks one of them up, pops it in his mouth, and chews it before taking a sip of his red wine before him.
Finally, he smiles at you.
"Ah... there you are... I need you to do something for me, will you?"
Aladdin:Aladdin tried to stay calm under the hood, knowing it was only a formality to keep him in the dark for the first event. It took some effort but he finally relaxed his breathing and calmed down enough to focus on his surroundings, listening to all he could that would give him context clues. But before he could come to any conclusions, the hood was removed and his eyes adjusted quickly to the scene in front of him. He was immediately wary of the stranger but knew this was only part of the event so it was best he complied as best he could. "Your wish is my command..isn't it?" He responded with a grin as his eyes darted between the mans face and the table of delicacies in front of him.
Zarina:When the hood was removed, Zarina's eyes met a table of some of the most delicious food she had seen in a while. This wasn't what she was expecting at all and her brows furrowed in confusion. After thoroughly looking over the table, her surroundings, and the man in front of her, she was extremely suspicious of what was going on. The man had barely spoken anything to her and she already didn't trust him. Her eyes flickered up at him, "What is it....?" she questioned cautiously, "I suppose it's not like I have much of a decision really anyhow," she replied with a slight grin tugging on the corner of her lips.
Clark:From underneath the hood, Clark had bit his tongue to keep from asking questions. When he thought he might give in and ask, despite the obvious need for secrecy, the hood was removed. Blinking to clear his head, Clark lifted his gaze to the well dressed man before him, then to the woods surrounding the two of them. He hummed, curios eyes settling then on the food. "Of course, mon ami. Can I ask for a name, or must everything be a secret?"
Victoria entered for the first time
Victoria:Victoria was scared. She hated the fact that she couldn't see where they were going, and then the transportation made her want to throw up. But sh held it in and looked around after the hood was removed. "What?" She said confused to the man.

@Aladdin:"That it is..." The man turns and eyes a rather large, strong tree nearby you. He gestures to it, "I want you to bring down that tree for me." He points to the ground in front of him, "Here is your tool for the task."
@Zarina:"You don't, really." he said snoodily. "I have a task, and I'll have it done now. You see that horse, over there?" The man gestures to the white horse several feet away from you, staring at you as it waits for you to make your move. "I want you to bring it to me. He would make an excellent collection to my stables. Here... your tool." The man gestures to an axe lying on the ground beside him.
@Clark:The man grins, "It mustn't. I am Lord Waugh. A pleasure, I'm sure. But I need you to do something for me." He moans, looking sadly at the ground behind you, "I would really love a taste of pheasant. I want you to fetch that one for me. Here... use this." He gestures at the ground before you, suddenly showing a net.
@Victoria:The man sighs and rolls his eyes, "I need something done for me, obviously. I want a fish, for dinner. I want you to fetch it for me. There's the fish, and here's your tool." He gestures down at a bow and arrow located near you.
Aladdin:(whats the tool..?)
MOD:(I'm a twat. sorry. You got a rope)
MOD:(I paused to read Victoria's response and stopped typing)
Victoria:She nodded her head slowly, taking it all in. "Ok um, is there a lake nearby?" She said awkwardly picking up the bow and arrow. "Or any sort of water?" She said, slowly looking around at her surrounding, which seemed to only be trees.
MOD:@Victoria: "Oh, of course" Suddenly you hear running water, and turning behind yourself you spot a stream filled with small fish.
Clark:Clark returns an easy smile, which only falters slightly at the request. "Ah. A pheasant? How...pleasant." He smiles to himself at the joke, letting it ease the small semblance of discomfort in the back of his head. Then he bends to pick up the net, and walks with easily projected grace around the table. "Tell me, Lord Waugh, why do you wish for a bird when you have so many cakes before you?" He flashes another smile, before looking at the ground for the bird. "Not easily satisfied, mon cher?"
MOD:@Clark: The lord smiles, "I want a pheasant. That is all. I think it would pair nicely with both my wine and these delicious delicacies. A perfectly pleasant Pheasant in the Periferie."
Zarina:Zarina lifted her eyebrows at his attitude, disgusted by how he carried himself. Nonetheless, she didn't dwell on it and focused on the task at hand... this was a trail after all. The girl picked up the axe that she was given, "Let me get this straight, you want me to catch animal for you... with an axe? Is this how you go about getting people to be friends with you?" she asked sarcastically but turned to the horse. She didn't want to scare the poor creature, so when she started taking steps closer to it, she held out her hand to first see if the animal would trust her and used her other hand to drop the axe on the ground behind her back.
Aladdin:Aladdin looked up at the tree as the man explained what he wanted and furrowed his brows. Bring down the tree? His mind was already going a mile a minute when he heard the part about the tool. Except when he looked down and spotted the rope he was disappointed. How was a rope supposed to help him? Pulling out his wand, he focused on the rope and whispered an incantation to himself, trying desperately to make something happen, to make it change into something even remotely useful. Frustration visibly apparent on his face after his attempts were failing, Aladdin was growing more and more worried. "Am I...allowed to use magic?" He spoke up to the man, wondering if there was a catch

Victoria:Her eyes widened looking at the water. She knew it would be strange, but she was just beginning to understand how weird it's actually going to be. "Oh..kay." She said nodding her head slowly. She started walking over there, but she'd never used a bow and arrow before. She took off her shoes and socks, stepping into the stream. She could see the fish, but they all seemed to be swimming so fast and none were even close to her. "Can't I use a fishing rod or something?"
MOD:@Aladdin: The lord scoffs at you, "Magic? No, no! Of course not!" He gives a tsk and shakes his head, "Can't you do it with just the rope? That's what I expect from someone as skilled as you.... or I thought you were skilled, anyway.... perhaps I misjudged..."
MOD:@Zarina : You failed.
MOD:The horse runs
MOD:@Victoria: "What? No! I gave you that tool, didn't I? It's the only one I have here, so be on with it."
Victoria:"Can't you use magic to get a fishing rod here? I mean you transported me here didn't you?"
Aladdin:His response immediately made Aladdin feel like a failure. So he picked up the rope and took a running start at the tree in question, running up the side of it until he reached a branch. Maybe from a higher vantage point he'd have a better perspective. So he began to climb with the rope draped over his shoulder until he felt he was high enough and he rested on a branch and stared at the tree. "Isn't this the wizarding olympics? I bet this rope would make a mighty fine....ax...or chainsaw....if I was allowed to do a little transfiguration." He called down to the man after not a single idea came to his mind.
MOD:@Victoria: The lord takes a long yawn, "Nope. I'm too tired. I don't wish to."
Clark:Clark grins impossibly wide. "Ah! What charming alliteration." He looks at the bird, then pauses, looking back to the table. Forehead creasing in thought, he tilts his head at the lord. "Hm. Mon maitre de qch, could I borrow a pastry? I only need a few crumbs, to lure our friend. That would make it easier to use the net, non?"
Victoria:(wait, does she have one arrow or multiple?)
MOD:(let's say three)
MOD:(she can catch them before they roll downstream)
MOD:@Aladdin: The lord watches on and shrugs, "That it would. But something so easy wouldn't be a challenge, now would it?"
Victoria:(ok thanks)
MOD:@Clark: The lord frowns at you, "Absolutely not. I'm not serving part of my dinner to get the rest of the dinner, now am I? That's counter-productive. I trust in your ability to fetch it for me."
Zarina:Zarina couldn't stand this asshole already. "Charming," she scoffed, ignoring his demands. She cursed mentally to herself as the horse ran. She knew it couldn't be that easy. She sighed and picked up the axe again, walking cautiously over to the horse but keeping her distance. If she tried running at the thing with a weapon in her hand it would never trust her again. "Why this as a tool? This makes no sense..." Wheels turning in her head, she thought of a different, borderline childish method of attempting to get the horse to move. She got on one knee and positioned herself in front of a tiny sliver of light coming through the trees and used the tip of the axe to direct a spot of light first into the horses eyes to get it's attention, then onto the ground infront of it. The goal was to get the creature to follow it but Zarina had her doubts... maybe if it was a cat it would work better but a horse?
Aladdin:"I guess not..." He mumbled in response before standing up on the branch and looking at the wide trunk. Maybe if he pull on the tree he could make something happen? With a few leaps from branch to branch, he soon had the rope wrapped around the trunk and knotted securely. Gracefully he jumped down from the tree with the rope in his hand and steeled himself to begin pulling. He had bragged about his strength after all? This would be the opportunity to show it. To prove himself. With that last thought driving him he braced his feet and began to pull on the large tree, trying his hardest to make it fall.
Victoria:She attempted to shoot an arrow in the water at a fish, but she missed and it didn't even shoot five feet away from her. She quickly went to catch it. And she groaned. "This is impossible!" She said holding the arrow. Then she got an idea. She held the arrow in one hand, putting down the bow, and attempted to stab the fish, missing the first few times.

Clark:Clark looks thoughtful, then offers another smile. Sometimes, certain goals called for certain sacrifices, but between the manner and dress of the man before him, Clark couldn't rely on sacrificial willingness to be on his side. "Of course, oui. I will hope to keep that trust, then." He salutes and turns away and kneels a meter from the bird, net hovering in front of him. He draws a deep breath, then whistles, soft and an imitation of the birds he used to hear in the shallow woods his caravan used to call home. With slow movements, he brings the net a little closer to the pheasant, whistling to catch its attention.

She doubted this jerk would allow her to use it but she took it out anyway. She could have this task done in a second if magic was on her side. "Let me guess... no wands right?" she asked reluctantly.
Aladdin:When he slipped and dropped the rope, Aladdin couldn't help but feel defeated. How was he supposed to pull the tree down using only a rope and his brute strength. And no magic!! This was impossible. But he saw no other course of action and he picked the rope up again and began to pull, this time even harder than the last time and with a small stump as leverage for his feet to keep from stumbling.
Victoria:This time she jut screamed instead of groaning. She figured that this would take hours and she knew that she didn't have all day. If it became night time and she still hadn't caught one she'd be screwed. She didn't even know what time it was. "How long do I have to do this?" She asked right before she attempted to throw the arrow at a fish.

Aladdin:Aladdin groaned loudly and gave his arms a rest. How was pulling a tree down without the use of magic even remotely a test of his skill as a wizard? This was the wizarding olympics after all. How were any of the contestants supposed to pull down a tree! If anything he was the only person who even stood a chance. Unless they were given other tasks....but if that were the case why was he given the tree and a rope??! His frustration was growing as he thought about the situation before he turned towards the strange man at the table. "What am I supposed to do with this rope??!"
Clark:Clark exhales slowly, standing up a little straighter, and wills himself to keep a level head. He bends to pick up the note, a small smile tugging at his lips, and tucks it into his pocket. "Beautiful penmanship." He mumbles to no one in particular, and turns back around to run in the direction the bird flew in. Clutching the net in one hand, he resumes whistling, looking up at various tree branches. For a better view, and considering how close each of the trees are, he attempts to climb one.

She slowly got to her feet and started to walk behind the horse. She paused for a moment behind it before running at it, banging the axe against the tree to steer it to the left with the noise.
Aladdin:Aladdin yelled loudly as he spotted the note, letting out his true frustration now that he was alone. Picking up the letter he ripped it to pieces until it littered the ground at his feet. It may not have made the tree fall but he felt a bit better. With another running start, he ran up the tree until he rested on a branch and weighed his options. Maybe he could find a different tool in the forest? With that in mind he began to look around, further than he had considered before when the man was still there.

They were played to believe like they were alone in these woods. She rolled her eyes, and decided not to waste anymore time and keep doing what she was doing except adding light colored rocks and sticks and whatever else she could find that wouldn't be likely to get eaten into the trail of food. She continued hastily towards the yell she heard before.
Clark:Belatedly, Clark looked down at the net and shook his head. "Ah - non. I'm meant to catch a pheasant, for a lord's meal." He looked back up at Aladdin, somewhere between kind and sympathetic. "To bring down a tree sounds near impossible - do you have only the rope to do it?"

Zarina:Zarina shut her eyes to give her ears a bit of help but it didn't do much. She listened intently to the sounds of the forest but the rustling of the trees covered up something in the distance. She focused on the voice that was nearby and opened her eyes in surprise when it came from right in front of her. She recognized her from the papers and smiled, happy to finally come across another competitor. "I'm Zarina," she greeted and followed Victoria's eyes to her axe, "Oh no no, wow this looks bad being in the middle of the woods in all but I'm not going to hurt you. This was the tool some asshole gave me to catch a horse with," she chuckled, trying her best not to scare the girl. "How has your luck been? You don't have the same task as I do... do you?"

Aladdin:"Don't go too far Clark." He called down to his companion. "Stay where I can see you so I don't lose this ridiculous tree I'm supposed to get down." Turning his attention back to finding Zarina he called out again. "Zarina!!!"
Zarina:Zarina took the words to mind as the girl talked. "Neither does a bow and arrow to catch a fish... You can't possibly catch a fish with that, and I doubt an axe would do you any better." Zarina went quiet to think some more when she heard a voice. She knew that voice anywhere and her face immediately lit and and turned to face it. "Did you hear that?" she asked Victoria before replying to the yell in the distance, "Aladdin?! Ali is that you?" she called out loudly while scanning the forest.

Jumping down from the tree he moved towards his best friend wondering if it would be wise to hug her like he so desperately wanted to. He had never been more glad to see the clever girl.
Victoria:"Who is that?" She said reffering to the other person. "Guys, get down here!" She yelled up with a smile. Maybe with the other two they could figure out how to solve this task.
Victoria:"Why were you in a tree?" She asked the boy, Aladdin she presumed.
Clark:Clark takes note of the relieved smile echoing on both Aladdin and Zarina's faces, and smiles to himself. Then he waves at the two girls, offering a smile of his own. "I'm glad you found us."
Zarina:Zarina gave a friendly eye roll as he jumped down. "Naturally you're up a fucking tree," she smiled, but didn't move, unsure what to do in the situation. She gathered he would probably be thinking the same thing. "What's the deal with you two then? Please tell me you're stuck in some impossible, riddling predicament?"
Aladdin:His focus had zeroed in on his best friend but he heard the question come from the girl who was with him. "That's my task. To make that very tree fall." That's when he spotted the axe Zarina held in her hand. "Z....where did you get that ax??"
Victoria:"Ooo!" She said lightly hitting Zarina's arm. "He can use your ax to cut down the tree!"
Zarina:As Aladdin started talking, things seemed to be unraveling and finally starting to make sense. "Some asshole gave it to me to catch a horse with. Wait a minute, wait a minute... do you have a rope? To cut down a tree?" she looked around again at everyone's object. "Do well all... have eachother's proper tool?"
Clark:Clark grins, a small laugh bubbling up in his throat, and clasps his hands together. "Brilliant! Oh, of course. I was given a net - would that help either of you?"
Aladdin:The realization at what was happening here caused Aladdin to run at the tree once more to retrieve the rope from where he had tied it up on the trunk and bring it down to Zarina. "I do.." He held it out to her with a wide cheeky grin. "Trade?"
Victoria:"well does someone have a fishing rod?" She asked sarcastically before spotting the net. "Or a net, that works too!" She said gesturing to it. "You wouldn't perhaps need a bow and arrow, would you?"
Clark:Bending to grab the net, he holds it out to Victoria. Then he grins, pointing emphatically at the bow and arrow. "Ooh, oui! I've been told to hunt a bird. I would gladly take a bow, yes."
Zarina:"Oh absolutely," she smiled and rapidly held out her axe to him. The rope was exactly what she needed out of these misfit tools and she turned to see the exchange happening between Clark and Victoria.
Victoria:"Well then it's all yous! Although I have to apologize because I broke an arrow, but you still have two!" She said handing the items over to the boy.
Aladdin:"Are we all set? I feel pretty confident about this tree now..." He grinned wide and caught Zarina's eye with a wink. as he looked out at the other contestants.
Victoria:"I think we are! I jus have to find my way back to the stream now." She laughed.
Zarina:Zarina smirked in reply to her friend's wink, "Right. Back to business then?" she said while backing away towards her trail that she created.
Clark:He takes the bow and two arrows, waving a dismissive hand at her apology. "Non, it will be fine." Then he smiles at Aladdin, offering a half-accurate salute. "Oui! We are."
Zarina:Zarina smiled at everyone and offering a weak thumbs up to them all before dashing away to her trail, trying to get back to the horse as fast as possible.
Aladdin:Aladdin took a few steps backward towards his tree. "Well...good luck!" He turned and faced the large trunk, happy to have the ax in his hand.
Victoria:"I'll see you guys later I guess." She smiled with a small wave before heading back the way she came, towards the stream.
Zarina:Once she found the trail of rocks and whatever was left of the food, she squinted her eyes, searching for the white coat of the horse in contrast to all of the green around her.

@Zarina:Roll Wisdom to track the horse.
@Aladdin:Roll Strength to chop down the tree.
@Victoria:Roll Dexterity to catch the fish.
@Clark:Roll Wisdom to track your bird.
Aladdin:With a wide swing he made his first dent in the trunk and began to make quick work of the tree. He was willing to use every drop of his strength if it meant he made the tree fall as soon as possible.
Clark:Clark returned the waves with one of his own, then turned back in the direction he had come from before. With a bow and two arrows to help him, he hoped for better results this time around. Humming a soft, impromptu melody to himself, he looked around for any nearby pheasants.

Victoria:When she'd actually caught the fish she nearly cried. But she still needed to give it to the man, who wasn't even there. "I caught your damn fish! Where are you?" She yelled out to the emptiness around her.
Clark:Spotting a pheasant in the tree to the right, Clark's eyes light up. He knocks an arrow, taking a moment to remember the correct posture, before lifting the bow and aiming at the bird. In the back of his head, he apologizes to the bird, then fires the arrow.
Zarina:The brunette gave a huge sigh of relief when the horse came into view. It was standing over by a group of trees almost exactly where she left it before. Zarina smiled, happy it didn't wander far and approached the animal with gentle footsteps. "Come on Horse," she whispered while tying the rope to resemble a lasso before stepping closer. When she got at a confident distance, she positioned the rope in her hand, ready to throw...

Clark:The arrow strikes the bird, a sudden and sharp movement, and it falls from the branch. Clark pushes a heavy sigh past his lips, letting his eyes fall closed for a long moment. "Je suis désolé." He murmurs, then brings the bow to rest over a shoulder. He walks over to the ground where the bird fell, bending to pick up the small creature. Keeping his expression carefully blank, he ensures that it isn't breathing before pulling the arrow out and dropping it on the ground. He fights with himself for all of three seconds before cradling the bird against his chest as he stands, and walks back in the direction of the table.
Zarina:A huge grin garnished her face and she slightly moved her arm in victory. She grabbed onto the other end of the rope and lead the horse back to the table where it all started. "Hey! Uh-- I have your horse, guy!" she called out looking for the man that gave her the task

As you all slowly succeed at your events, and as soon as the last person finishes you all feel the incredible urge to blink. You do so, and when you open your eyes you see the white table and the lord with all his delicacies.
“Bravo!” The lord says, giving a small golf clap. He’s joined by two identical men, dressed slightly differently and clapping along with him.
“Bravo. Bravo” Another says.
Once all their clapping is done, the third one turns to his brothers and sighs, whistfully, “is that it? Do they pass?”
The first mimicks his sigh, “After… they chop the tree into firewood. Cook us up a nice tasty fish--”
“Don’t forget the pheasant.” Added the second.
“--And… take turns blowing the horse.” All three of them look incredibly serious for a moment before bursting out into laughter. "Oh my gosh you should have seen your faces!" He cackled.
"I'm kidding! Though did you see his face?" The second said, gesturing toward Clark, "It was like, 'okay fine, but I am NOT going first." They continued to laugh, the third wiping a tear from his eye.
"Ahhh... congrats. You all succeeded. Your task is done now."
