It was still very sore and he guessed that it had broken from the impact of the fist that had rammed into it only a few minutes ago. Getting into bar fights merely to show off was a fairly common habit of his and it might have been about time to reconsider. After he had won his respective fight, he had promptly gone to the grungy restroom to clean off his bloodied knuckles, but he had ended up keeling over onto the floor. Wings flapped once as he lay there on his side and he closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again to get read to get up and stop wallowing in his uncomfortable state however, he found he was no longer in the same place. In fact, it looked as though he were laying on a living room floor. “A shift? Now?” He grumbled irritably as he braced himself up on his elbow while peering at his surroundings.Leave it to his awful luck to end up changing universes while inebriated and in pain. Having to deal with the startled occupant of this place would likely be no easy task- Perhaps he could lay down again and pretend he wasn’t there.

There was considerable weight behind Albert’s visit across the Atlantic. His first visit to Canada would be the first time a reigning monarch set foot on its soil, it would also be the first time that Canada celebrated the official birthday with the monarch actually present.

The pressure of the visit was made no less so when Albert was informed that he was to meet Canada himself. After the initial greetings with the considerable crowds, in French no less, the King had found himself in La Citadelle, Quebec. Waiting alone for a man he wondered if he should ever have really met.

He stood as he had been taught to, straight back, hands by his side, though one rested on the pommel of his ceremonial sword as he fancied himself a look out of the window at the country he had yet to really see.
