#7 - So Quick Natter over Brexit...

So Theresa May has announced this morning that she’s resigning as Prime Minister!! And you know I’ve seen very mixed opinions over social media on this. But despite everything, you do have to feel some sort of affection for her as she made that resignation speech this morning, Was quite sad. Now this whole Brexit malarkey has been going on for a good couple of years now, and she’s tried to see it through, but unfortunately it’s turned out to be one big mess, I’m sure a lot ofyou will agree on that haha! Now I don’t have much of an opinion on wether we should be staying or leaving, Hence why I haven’t voted. And that’s purely because it’s my choice to stay out of it. Why, I’ve never really had a definite answer to up until now ....

Just watching Social Media play out this morning, the amount of people (Not everyone), But a lot of people that are glad to see the back end of her …. That’s all fine, we all have our own opinions. But some comments that are made are just simply wrong, vile and disgusting!! People saying the most horrendous stuff about others (In this case Theresa May) that they’d never (I HOPE) dream about saying in front of their faces! But because there behind these screens/tablets, We feel as if we’re invincible and we can say whatever the hell we want … And it ain’t right! I just think politics, in this case brexit, brings out the worse in people!

I just try to stay out of a lot of this sorta stuff cause of all the backlash over mixed of opinions and then the comments that get said like these this morning. And not cause I don’t understand politics, as surprisingly I do get that from a lot of people haha! I just choose not to get involved, purely cause of this reason ….

Now despite wether people think we should stay in or leave the European Union, the people did have had their say back in 2016, And the results was we come out of the EU. So in all fairness, we should of really left on March 29th. BUT SAYING THAT, They was a lot of lies and false hope & promises made during the 2016 referendum, no other by politicians …. surprise surprise!! And personally I think that if this is true (they were fowl play as they say!) they should be a second referendum to make it fair for the people! Not because I believe we should stay, as currently I don’t have much of an opinion on wether we should stay or leave. I just don’t believe in fowl play, and that the people we’re told the incorrect facts. So yeah, if people wanna know what my views on Brexit and Theresa May leaving today are, There you go ….

RANT OVER! Now I'm off to make myself a cuppa tea with some biscuits ☕️Lovely Jubbly .... Have a good day everyone.

An Angry and Disappointed Briton

Regardless of what you think about the European Union, I am angry and disappointed in my country today. Our Parliament set a law that mandated our departure from the European Union at 11pm on 29/03/2019. They have failed to deliver on this legal requirement. 

Our Prime Minister insists on ramming through a deal that has been thrice rejected by MP’s. Our MP’s have ruled out our crucial bargaining chip, leaving without a deal, despite the fact that the EU have been preparing for No Deal since December 2017 (and so have we!). 

Many of our MP’s have backed a Second referendum, despite insisting during the first that there would be none and that they would respect the Referendum result! 

The lies--let’s call them as they are-- are galling and truly demonstrate why so many Britons are angry with Westminster and why Leave won in the first place. Parliament does not speak for the people. On every crucial issue, they have ignored their constituents and, having learned nothing from the shock of 23/06/2016, continue to lead us for a ride. 

We are supposed to be a nation of laws and a democracy. Evidently we are not. Disappointing!
