Arthur let out a laugh, something about how his soulmate often missed trains made him laugh. He took Merlin’s hand, liking the name. “Well, Merlin Emrys, I am Arthur Pendragon. I must say, the pleasure is mine, can’t let you have all the enjoyment of meeting me, can I?”

After they had shaken hands he bowed slightly and kissed the top of Merlin’s hand before letting the brunet’s hand go. The awkwardness of the other man’s flirting was something that he doubted he would ever grow tired of.

An embarrassed flush consumed his face heating up his typical pallid skin and he mentally chided himself for his big mouth. He had spoken to his soulmate for a matter of five minutes and his soulmate already knew Merlin was constantly late for trains amongst other things. Oh well. 

His embarrassed blush was near instantly replaced by his soulmate's chivalrous nature and words. The young warlock practically melted on the inside once he heard his soulmate's name.

A sigh of longing and satisfaction left Merlin as he watched him kiss his hand. This was perfect, so perfect; he could not help but grin like an idiot.

"I do not know how I got so bloody lucky," he managed to say as his emotions lessened their grip on his vocal chords as a permanent smile plastered itself on his lips. "Well... since we're on this train, wanna go somewhere together? Unless you have a prior engagement..." He managed to get out before he could stop himself. He was talented at running his mouth, but he could not bring himself to ask his beloved soulmate on a date.
