Did I trick you? I truly fooled a lot of people with the long locks. How? I was wearing Secret Extensions, the same Secret Extensions that Daisy Fuentes uses. And they are so easy to use. Are Secret Extensions right for your hair?

I’ll tell you, Secret Extensions are tons of fun. A friend came over when I was playing with them and had them in a pony tail and she couldn’t get over how real they looked and felt. And they do. They require a bit of work (definitely watch some of the videos on their website about curling irons and flat irons before using). But they’re amazing for a fun and fancy night with a new look.

My hair isn’t really right for Secret Extensions, because the texture of my hair doesn’t take well to humidity and I live in a very humid environment. My hair is constantly curling and frizzing after just a few minutes outside, especially in the summer. Even when I blow it out straight (or flat), it will spring up and look less flat, more bouncy. This does’t work well with the Extensions that continue to lay beautifully, ideally, really.

But not everyone has hair that responds to the atmospheric pressure, humidity and weather like mine. (I’m looking at you, Debbie. I’m insanely jealous.) Some hair takes to a style and remains beautiful all day and night. If that’s you, then grab a few sets of Secret Extensions for new body, fullness and length. It’s SO fun.

What about color?

There are eleven colors on the Secret Extensions website, and a great video to help you choose. But even better, after you select your colors and receive them, if they aren’t right for your hair, it’s an easy exchange, no questions asked. I received a lot of samples for this post and they were all too dark. (Some of the images in the gallery, above, were way too dark.) A second batch and the match was perfect. You can also mix 2 shades for a little more drama. I have a sample of Medium Red Brown just so I can add a little drama to my hair.

How many do you need?

I’d definitely recommend at least 2 sets of Secret Extensions. The second set helps to blend the hair more. In the photos when I’m wearing the blue dresses and orange top, I have just one set in. In the photos where I’m wearing the white top, I have 2 sets.
