Ooo! Another ask! Yay!!! Feels like Christmas.The first thing I saw them in - Technically? ‘Due South’ (which was a fantastic show and everyone should watch it. At least the first two seasons) But I guess the first time I was AWARE I was watching him was ‘The Kids Are Alright’.
Why I like them - Oh, my. Sit down, grab a snack, and let me ‘splain you a thing. I grew up watching Bill Bixby in ‘The Incredible Hulk’. I adored Bill Bixby and Bruce Banner. Bruce Banner was one of my earliest fictional character crushes. When they made the first Hulk movie I was SO excited. And then I watched it. And much as I like Eric Bana (which is a lot), I was disappointed. Then there was the second Hulk movie, which I actually liked less in spite of Liv Tyler’s presence. So, going into The Avengers, I was incredibly skeptical. I started to relax the minute I heard his voice. By the time he made the joke about being on the helicarrier (”Oh, no. This is much worse.”), I was done. THIS was the Bruce I remembered. THIS was the Bruce I had long hoped for but had not yet received. No lie. I was almost in tears sitting in the theater.
My favorite role of theirs - Um…see above.
My least favorite role of theirs - I guess I’d have to pick ‘The Kids Are Alright’. Although I still liked it. Just least favorite.
A role I’d like to see them in - Huh. I don’t know. A solo Hulk movie? Or a movie with just Banner and Stark sciencing together. Or a biopic of Bill Bixby. ;-)
Who I’d like them to work with - Ewan McGregor. Although I’m not sure why…
