Laughing, crying and everything else in between 😂😭
I enjoy high stakes hidden-object game, but was obliterated as soon as I played hard mode as demonstrated above. I forgot what gimmick the green and red symbols represent (the anagram?), but it was much smoother when the gimmick doesn't involve any kanji.
My Japanese level isn't that advanced enough to begin with. Whenever the item list is displayed in kanji instead of silhouette (or even better clear images) I can barely make do, let alone when it's kanji, out-of-order, mirrored, or turned upside down 😭 I don't too keen to find out what the Expert level has in store.
The bright side is, like all hidden-object games, it's possible to beat the game by rote memorisation... ish. Some of the objects in Tasotsubo are gradually added by level and rearranged themselves into several positions, but even then you'll still be able to memorise them. Once you get used to it, instinct will take over and you can play smoothly... Probably 😂
