SEECS Kısa Film Festivali İKÜ’de

Dünya Sinema Okulları Birliği (CILECT) Başkan Yardımcısı Prof. Dr. Stanislav Semerdjiev’in katılımıyla birliğe üye ülkelerden yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler, yönetmenler, senaristler, oyuncular ve film profesyonellerinin bir araya geldiği festivalde, SEECS’e bağlı üye okullardaki öğrencilerin ürettiği kısa filmler, üniversite gençliğiyle buluşturuluyor. Festival kapsamında görücüye çıkan filmlerin yaratıcılarını bir araya getirerek, bilgi ve deneyimlerini paylaşmalarına öncülük etmek amacıyla düzenlenen organizasyonun, sinema sanatının evrensel kimliğine katkıda bulunması ve farklı renkleri bir araya getirmesi hedefleniyor.

İKÜ İletişim Tasarımı Bölüm Başkanı ve SEECS Başkanı Prof. Dr. Bülent Küçükerdoğan ev sahipliğinde düzenlenen festival boyunca birçok kurmaca, animasyon, deneysel ve belgesel film yarışacak. Ayrıca festivalin içerisinde bu yıl ulusal bir yarışma olan “Liseler Arası Kısa Film Yarışması” da gerçekleştirilecek. Bunun yanı sıra sinemaya ilişkin sergi, panel, workshop ve sempozyumlar düzenlenerek, birbirinden farklı dillere, kültürlere ve sinema estetiğine sahip ülkelerin sinema öğrencilerinin buluşmasına aracılık edecek.

Beginning

I remember back in March, I registered for the NUST entrance test. I had failed to get into a decent course last year and I decided to try again this year. 

Truth be told, I was scared - even wrote a blog about it then - because I was sure I would not get again this time as well. It was the first rejection I had ever faced in life, and it had broken me so much I thought nothing would ever repair me. 

Yet somehow, I got the courage to do it again. I tried and did not score very well in NET1. I attempted the NET2 and did better, and got into NUST. I did not get into the course I had always wanted to do, and I was very upset about it, but then one fine day, a friend made me realise how God chooses what is best for us and we might not understand it right now, but one day, it will all make sense. (Thank you for this Haroon.)

My university starts tomorrow IA and it will be another amazing chapter of my life - I can feel it. Right now, I am just sitting and thinking about how much my life changed in my two years of A'levels and how it made me a better person. 

So this one is to a new beginning, a new era full of revived hopes and big ambitions. National University of Science and Technology, here I come. :)
