Life Greetings Photo Fiends, A well known photographer said life happens in fractions of seconds, as many of you know I am a street photographer, my style does not appeal to everyone, and that's fine by me. My photojournalism instructor kept telling us how vital a clean background in a photograph is, and to an extent he was correct. A well known photographer said life happens in fractions of a second, he was correct, and tis applies to street photography in a big way. Consider this, if you were shooting a model you could tell him or her where to stand, where to look or not look, how to look, and most of all what emotion to present. Trust me a street shooter has none of those luxuries, we get what we get, when the moment takes us, one frame maybe two, we don't get do overs, a perfect world would be a place where a trash can or an ash tray, or a car was never in the frame of one of my shots. I admit I will crop one out as long as it doesn't ruin the photograph, how could taking out something as un attractive as a trash can ruin a photograph ? If the main subject struck me so hard that I had to take the photograph because the scene took me I probably did not see the trash can in that 250th of a second, and if I had I would not have cared. I like what I shoot even if no one else ever does I shoot a frame because it took me before I took it, life is full of beauty, it is also full of trash cans, don't be ashamed to have either one I your photograph, Go on you tube and look up talks at google , Vincent Versace you will not be disappointed.
