     TIMIDLY, THE girl fidgeted in place, grasping at the cloth of her skirt with what little mobility she had in her hands. It was short of a lie. She had tried it before, but to avoid eating in public, she made excuses. She already ate, wasn’t hungry, didn’t like it, etc. It was much easier than explaining she couldn’t eat with chopsticks, let alone a fork, not without assistance at least.

034. — trip my muse.

           none of it is intentional apart from his place in the hallway: seated against a wall, feet outstretched, and his eyes closed. with the weather as nice as it was and the urge to do nothing overtaking his senses, it would make sense that his spacial awareness was diminished to zip. the only thing to rouse him was the abrupt kick to his shin and the thud of a person hitting the floor. 

           cautiously, he peeks over at the victim of his inconvenient placement. ❝ hey-- are you okay ? ❞ there’s no effort to move himself, but if she needed assistance standing up, he’d offer a hand for her to hold onto for support. ❝ my eyes were closed-- i didn’t see you coming... swear. ❞
