Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked, declares the sovereign LORD? Do I not prefer that he turn from his wicked conduct and live? - Ezekiel 18:23 | New English Translation (NET Bible) NET Bible copyright © 1996-2006 by Biblical Studies Press, L.L.C. All rights reserved.
I keep seeking for God but I still haven't found him, when will he show up? I'm so close to giving up, I don't know what to do
Hi friend,He’s already shown up. He’s there right now. He’s there always. All you have to do is open your Bible. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” - 2 Timothy 3:16-17Here is a great article from Crosswalk on more ways that God speaks to us. All my love,S.
What are your tips on seeking God again when you've gone astray?I grew up in a deeply Christian family surrounded by people with strong faiths. However, for the past 7 years I have been struggling with severe anxiety, and I think I blamed God for that (and strongly doubted his existence at times), which is why I stopped reading my Bible or praying. Lately I've been feeling empty because I've tried to rely on my own strength for too long. How do I draw closer to god again?
Hi friend,First of all, talk to Him. Tell Him you’re sorry. Tell Him you’re sorry for blaming Him for your anxiety, and you’re sorry for pulling away from Him, and for doubting Him. Ask for forgiveness. Ask Him to change your heart, and ask Him to help you to trust Him and love Him with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. Just honestly talk to Him about everything and anything. Pour your heart out, friend. After all, He already knows it all. He’s simply waiting for you to come to Him with. I think you’re feeling empty because you’ve been trying to fill a void that only God can fill with other things, and I get that. I’ve been there. I’ve doubted Him and blamed Him for things and struggled with severe anxiety as well. You are not alone, love. Along with going to God and talking to Him and asking for forgiveness, read your Bible. There are so many different ways to read/study His Word. Here are all of my posts tagged Bible study, in case you’re interested. I have photos of my own studies, along with insights and advice (and reblogs from what works for others as well). Second to last (this would be last but there’s one more very important step to all of this), find fellowship. I’m not sure if you’re still attending a church, but if not, try going to one near you. Once you find one that fits you, get involved. Talk to the congregation, join a Bible study, etc. It’s so important for us to have other Christians who we can talk to and lean on. Lastly, forgive yourself. This will most likely be the hardest step, but it is imperative. I pray these words help guide you, and I pray that you grow closer to God each and every day. Please keep me updated on how you’re doing, friend. <3All my love,S.
I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.
– Proverbs 8:17
What is me
What is He
What is all this mystery
Where am I
Where art thou
When all this is over where would I go
His he out there??
A heavy soul.
