Maybe in 9x05 Eddie's participating on a dance kind of presentation for día de los muertos on the street.

Maybe he is taking Father Brian's advice and seeking joy.

He's being reckless but maybe he always wanted to do stuff like that and now he is allowing himself to do it.

He's jumping over furniture. Maybe the Diaz parents didn't allowed this kind of behavior.

And maybe he joined a dancing club when he went back to LA and now he is in a street performance 🤷🏻‍♀️

The hair and the jacket just remind me too much of the movie Grease so...

Hours of joy

Joy doesn’t need to be constant.

There doesn’t need to be a stable,

But it should always be present somewhere.

All our emotions should be

But joy is one I see as vital,

Whether it’s a sorrowful joy,

Mixed emotions over happy memories

Where no more of the kind can come,

Or the vibrant joys of unforgettable events.

Joy stopped being a goal to me,

When it became an undercurrent to life.

Sure currents come and go like tides,

But they remain passivel present.

And I just need to breathe a moment,

To find something worth joy.

Life is made up of hours of joy,

Ever merging with other emotions

And seeking them a worthy task

For every ready mind to take.

sunshine and light breezes. lacy bralettes under big sweaters. dark freckles. loose curls. bushes peppered with flowers. sunsets. open air and coffee shops. writing until your hand hurts. typing up a new chapter. making bouquets of flowers. tattoos. reading an enlightening book. complimenting someone and seeing their face light up. mimosas on the patio. sitting in the grass. rooms full of plants. laughing until your stomach hurts. late night adventures. going out for dinner. traveling by yourself. slow living and intentional living. self-progression.

If this isn't nice, I don't know what is

I've been up since 7 (which is fine, I went to bed early last night), and the other humans are sleeping, so it's just me & the cats. The sky is light, and it's raining, and I'm cozied up under the new, ridiculously expensive blanket The Spouse acquired the other weekend. It's so soft, so interestingly textured, and it looks like a pelt, but a pelt from a giant snowy owl (weird, but the best way I can describe the pattern).

Anyway. It's so achingly cozy and comfortable, and I am, just for a moment, very happy.

I hope everyone reading this gets to experience this soon.

I realise I don't care whether people remember me or not. It would be nice but unnecessary.

What I care about is whether they remember joy.

So Grumpy wants to remind you. It's ok to ask for a hug from someone (if hugs are what you need).

Or a listening ear.

You don't have to experience joy today. Or even tomorrow. Or next week.

But it's okay to seek help to move in that direction.
