We need more active moderators, so I (mod Silvia) will be opening applications again temporarily. I’ve changed the system slightly since last time, so here’s how it will work.
I will be accepting up to 2 moderators unless there are too many options. Please don’t be upset if you aren’t picked, I expect it to be a very tough choice. Mod applications may open again later.
Please read all of the rules before submitting a form. Applications will be open until April 23rd unless they need to be extended.
To become a moderator, you must be able to be active on the blog at least 2-3 times a month. Activity can be answering messages, reblogging posts, or editing the blog appearance.
You will be expected to answer questions related to your orientation(s), gender(s), and personal experiences. However, we’re here to help you! If you have any questions or you’re uncertain about something, feel free to ask me or check with other active admins.
This is a discourse-free blog. Do not reblog or post anything attacking people or discoursing identities. Absolutely don’t reblog or post any callouts unless you believe people’s safety might be at risk. Again, check with me first please.
We accept questions from non-LGBT people. If this makes you uncomfortable I’ll handle those instead, but don’t apply if you aren’t okay with it at all. Don’t answer aggressively. Delete hateful messages.
When I pick the new mod(s), I’ll message you on your main tumblr blog and give you the rundown of how the blog works and our currently very messy tag system. You need to have at least one form of communication open, please!
If you don’t respond within 3 days I’ll give the position to someone else.
This is also the time where we’ll discuss things like privacy and how much information you’re okay with being public on the blog.
Breaking the rules will result in a warning. Multiple rule breaks will result in getting kicked off the blog.
However, we aren’t heartless! Everyone makes mistakes, so talk to us and explain the situation if something doesn’t go as planned. We’ll see what we can do. If you’re called out, just try to deal with it calmly or don’t respond, and message us.
Once you’re picked and I’ve given you an orientation, you can send me an introduction for yourself and I’ll put it on the blog. This can be a short blurb about whatever you want, so people know who are on the mod page and what sort of questions you’ll answer, but isn’t required.
Moderators stay moderators for at least 3 days of activity. After that, you’ll be promoted to administrator. (Assuming there have been no unsolvable problems.)

Hey there! We’re a new LGBTQIA+ positivity blog purely for helping, giving advice, and spreading good vibes. The goal is for this blog to eventually be the kind of place you can link your family and friends to so they understand your orientation and pronouns.
In time, I’ll have links to other blogs, self help tips, general advice, and other stuff up, and I’m currently working on a tag directory, but I’ll need time of course! And while I said we... I’m actually the only mod right now! If you’re interested in joining, here are the guidelines.

- Must be part of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you are cisendered and heterosexual heteroromantic AND allosexual alloromantic, please don’t apply.
- If you have any disabilities, triggers, or anything else that may affect your ability to moderate this blog, please tell me everything you are comfortable with telling me. If you don’t want it on your mod profile I will keep all of it private.
- Must be accepting of ALL orientations and genders. No exceptions. That includes asexuals/aromantics and lesser-known gender identities.
- Absolutely no arguing or flaming. If the blog gets hate, ignore it. The idea is for this blog to be completely positive and educational.
- Teach people! If someone comes to the blog asking genuine questions, even if they are being accidentally offensive, please try to answer them as concisely as you can. Don’t be rude (sternly getting the point across is different!). We want this to be the kind of thing someone’s mom can look at and learn from without feeling attacked. If a post if making you angry, make a draft and sleep on it.
- Tag everything. I’ll explain the tagging system. Feel free to offer additions. ^-^
