WIP WEDNESDAY
The most kissable lips
(Special thanks to @seekintroubles for the title idea)
A man more beautiful than the sunrise.
A mage, wiser than the wisest heads of his guild.
A lover, more tender than can be imagined.
A friend, loyal, supportive and helpful.
The Inquisitor wrote more poems and little stories than ever before in his life. The devoted and unconditional love he was receiving at the moment made him seductively weak and irrepressibly strong in one. He was not only in love, he loved with all his heart. A wonderful and unique feeling.
Trevelyan was grateful and felt he had finally arrived in life.
Despite the chaos outside, with Corypheus and his ilk on the loose, there was this odd couple, discreetly flirting in love and working together as if they had known each other for decades. Secretly, the two were now called Pavelyan wherever they appeared together.
For Pavus it took some getting used to at first, for Trevelyan it was the greatest honor. And this was the great difference between the two: Dorian came from a family home, noble and distinguished, but also emotionally undercooled, they always tried to suppress feelings. David, on the other hand, had been brought up rather simply, being industrious was important, but so was being honest about feelings. Both structures had their pluses and minuses. Feelings were nice and made sense, but they also made vulnerable, because acting too emotionally could be life-threatening in some situations.
Whenever the two lovebirds had a few minutes for each other, they quietly disappeared from the scene. Whether it was at Skyhold, at the camp, or while traveling, the herald and his paramour were not present from time to time.
For example, they held hands and walked through the woods near camp. David loved walks and being outside, and with Dorian by his side, everything was even more beautiful and unique. And Dorian... he wasn't really made for the rugged, wild outdoors, but with his amatus on his arm, the grass was greener, the sky was bluer, and the sun's rays were even warmer than ever. Even cold and rainy weather wasn't quite so unpleasant anymore with this jolly oddball trotting along beside Lord Pavus, whispering tender words to him.
"You know what, Lord Pavus?" David asked gently.
"I know many things, indeed, but please, speak on, my lord!"
Dorian Pavus smirked and squeezed the hand in his a little tighter.
"You have the most kissable lips in all of Thedas! Your mouth is so perfect, full lips, fresh and young and delicious. A dream, simply a dream!" Purred the inquisitor in love and with such a deep timbre in his voice that it made Dorian's knees tremble.
But the Altus from distant Tevinter did not want to make it that easy for his lover.
"You must have said this to many handsome beaus, my lord. How do I know that you mean what you say? I have noticed your cheeky charm and your friendly behavior many times. How do I know if you are just being diplomatic again or if you just feel like flirting? Tsk tsk tsk..."
He gave Trevelyan a saucy look, sideways out of the corner of his eye.
And David reacted immediately, grabbing his beloved tenderly but also hungrily. He encircled the latter's body with strong arms, gripped Dorian's neck with his left, and then kissed the plump lips of his sweetheart. At first as delicate as the flutter of a butterfly's wings, the two mouths met. But then the inquisitor opened his lips and let his tongue wander. David felt his lover's tongue, warm and pulsating. He stroked beautiful teeth, enjoying every second. And Dorian closed his eyes. Trevelyan was a nature boy and despite his noble origin, a very simple contemporary, but he knew how to make people happy, he knew what tenderness and affection, but also what animal desire and pure madness was. Pavus liked this softie with the hairy shell, because he was playful and honest.
"The most kissable lips in the universe! You are a dream. Dorian, you are my dream!" Purple-blue eyes gazed in love into deep, silver lakes of beauty, knowledge and affection.
But then, just silence.
No answer, no sound from the most glorious lips in Thedas was heard.
Pavus was speechless.
What was he supposed to say?
Was all this really happening?
A thousand thoughts shot wildly through his head.
Would they get the chance to be happy forever? Together?
Dorian swallowed hard.
"Are you all right, Lord Pavus?" David worried.
"If these are the most kissable lips, why do you stop tilling your field, tending your acre, your property..." That was as far as Dorian got.
Again the inquisitor kissed his paramour.
Lord Pavus did not want this to end ever again, but he was well aware, they still had many hurdles to overcome.
But not today and not tomorrow!
And by the Maker: they deserved their little reveries, their falling in love, their hopes for a life together in the future!
