The Torah/La Torá
"A political alliance between a God and a people is an absolute new, unheard of and unprecedented concept. As such, it requires a specific amount of historical motivation and explanation. This is the reason why the story is told... We are dealing here not with just "a" story, but "THE" story, the foundation of the covenant that is the foundation of the people of Israel and the Christian and Jewish religions. The revolutionary concept of the convenant between the poeple and God implies a triple process of theologization: (1) the theologization of the political concept of alliance, (2) the transformation of a secular law code into ius divinum (the Torah) and of (3) human history into sacred history. Therefore, the Torah has these three aspects and functions: of a law code, a treaty and a sacred historiography."
“Una alianza política entre un dios y un pueblo es un concepto absolutamente nuevo, nunca antes escuchado y sin precedentes. Como tal, requiere de una cantidad específica de motivación y explicación histórica. Esta es la razón del por qué la historia es contada... No estamos tratando aquí solo con una historia, sino con “LA” historia, el fundamento del convenio es la fundación del pueblo de Israel y de las religiones judía y cristiana.
El revolucionario concepto de un convenio entre Dios y el pueblo implica un triple proceso de teologización: (1) la teologización del concepto político de alianza, (2) la transformación de un código legislativo secular en un ius divinum-derecho divino- (la Torá) y de (3) la historia humana en historia sagrada. Entonces, la Torá tiene estos tres aspectos y funciones: un código legislativo, un tratado y una historiografía sagrada”
