So. Multiversal Traveler Kamina. Hes literally Geoverse Kamina except a couple years after the Hisui shenanigans, Pasio Hoopa picked up on his 'has been thru spacetime' trail so now he just comes and goes to Pasio.
And then starts going From Pasio to other places too. It initially started as Lear wanting someone to explore new universes and actually Invite out of universe Pokemon trainers to Pasio rather than them stumbling upon it either via random wormholes or Hoopas own mischief
But then it started going Beyond that, at least for Kamina. Because he started running into universes that Werent pokemon ones. By Lears own demands of him, he's need to just immediately write off these universes and not return to them because whats the point if theres no pokemon trainers to invite to his events on Pasio?
But since when is Kamina the type to listen to authority figures demanding things of him? To him, this is taking "see every horizon" and bringing it to a whole new different and exciting level. Hes exploding these places and meeting new people, making new friends
But... the multiverse has never been a place that comes without trouble
Now, the ongoing corruption arc stuff.
Notable universes from his travels are;
-Fortuna: a world of monsters, weapons and meisters. Kamina has become friends with a Viral alternate here, and has grown fond of his own alternate (even though the first thing they did upon meeting was kick each others asses) though he wont admit it. He also met a Kittan alternate here
-Hollow Knight universe: self explanatory. Kamina became fast friends with a bug version of himself here.
Back on Pasio Kamina met a version of Crimson Dragon au Kamina. Crimson Dragon cant stand what he sees as a version of himself that still holds the same recklessness he once did. But when he sees a smiling Lance, he grabs Kamina, pulls him aside, and p much tells him "Is there a man named Fuego in your world!? You need to find and kill him! Dont ask why, just do it for Lances sake!"
Kamina is absolutely unnerved and uncomfortable with the fact that not only is he being asked to kill someone, but that a version of himself is asking him to do it.
He doesnt want to kill anyone or anything.
Then comes Fortuna. Fortuna has wyverns, things that are so dragon-like, but are enemies of pretty much anyone there. Kamina cant even communicate with them at all. Its like seeing a twisted version of some of his family. Viral has shown him villages that have to deal with the aftermath of monster attacks. Kamina Knows theyre bad news. But trying to kill then is out of the question.
Until one is attacking them and gunning for Viral specifically. Viral transforms into his weapon form, wielded by Kamina. He asks Kamina to kill the wyvern, but tells him it's okay to back off.
And Kamina almost does back down. And then gets pissed at himself. At the fact that hes Experiencing this thing attacking them, attacking his FRIEND with the intent to kill him. And hes about to literally let his friend down and make him face it alone?!
Kamina strikes, and takes the wyvern down with Viral. And he immediately feels Awful to the point of having an anxiety attack. He's never killed anything before. And this thing looked so much like his family.
He cant do this. Fighting is the best thing he can do, but not like This. This is not a way he can help Fortuna. And Viral won't ask it of him again no matter the situation.
Later still, with time wimey shenanigans to boot, Kamina meets Fortunas Kittan. A man he knows to be doomed, but not when or why.
When Kittan leaves to fight a huge wyvern with Kamino (Kaminas Fortunian alternate), Kamina stays behind. Its a giant wyvern, and he's sure he'd be a hindrance with his feelings towards killing and wyverns.
Until it takes too long. Long enough that Kamina decides, screw it, and heads out there.
Only to arrive just as Kittan kills the wyvern himself, but not before it had dealt a finishing blow on him itself.
Kittan dies in Kamina's arms. And Kamina is left to wonder if he could've done Anything to prevent it. Come along to fight, be a distraction, be bait, ANYTHING.
When next he travels to the Hollow Knight universe, he comes into a scene of his counterpart fighting a giant centipede. It has bug!Kamina grounded and on the ropes.
And as Kamina runs forward, feeling like he's moments from being too late Again, he calls out one of his dragons and has him fire off a hyper beam. No holds barred, no holding back like they usually Have to, he makes that clear. It's enough to blow the centipede's head off and end it. Kamina would Never send his dragons out against the wyverns. Theyre too similar. He's not gonna make them go through what he did. But this is fine.
Remember near the start when i said he doesnt want to kill anyone or anything?
Multiversal Traveler Kamina is now at a point where he'd go for Fortunas wyverns if they posed a threat. Not with his dragons. He has a sword, doesn't he? And in his mind, it was his hesitation in going off against a wyvern that killed Kittan. He can't let that happen to anyone else, even though the thought of fighting more wyverns makes him sick to his stomach.
But...he's also started to pick up on the fact something is deeply Wrong with Fortuna. Something beyond the wyverns that are like twisted reflections of his family.
So just how far will he go to keep people safe?
