3/14 is White Day! A day you give back what you got the month before!
Seikin sets down two plates on the table for Kisumi, the scent of what is one of the plates has been tormenting them with a sweet milky smell this entire time. The blond is not much of a fan of food this sweet but it is White Day and Kisumi likes sweet stuff so this should be perfect, right? Hopefully? It is plenty sweet, at least to the blond.
A plate of white chocolate coated baumkuchen that finally its coating hardened a little and ready to eat! Warm drinks were set beforehand as Seikin waited for the cake he made to not be a melting mess. Not the best baker but if Kisumi tried making chocolate for him it is only fair for him to try something out in return and so he did. It was fun too!
There are also hidden meaning towards the kind of sweets given out on this day. For baumkuchen it means "may this happiness last evermore" while chocolate means "I have the same feelings too" cause you got chocolate and you give chocolate means basically ditto, no?
Another plate is the complete opposite, simple with just konpeito (tiny sugar candy spheres) on it. It was actually a backup plan just in case it isn't sweet enough and for a moment Seikin contemplated adding it to the cake or in the white chocolate coating but chose not to do so, cause what if Kisumi never had it before? So, two plates.
» 「 I never made baumkuchen before but here you go! Good enough for a pic too! Oh and some store bought konpeito. Cause I don't have the equipment and even if I do it takes days for anyone to make 'em. Legit traditional Japanese sweets here! You had them before, right? If you hadn't well, now you will. 」 «
And yes, konpeito also has its hidden meaning when given on this day. It is a simple "I love you". Hoping for a relationship sweet and longlasting, just as what konpeito is.
As Kisumi had really put into a labor of love for Valentine’s Day he honestly had forgotten what day it was. White day had snuck up on him so quickly. Looking at the treasure trove of sweets placed in front of him, he couldn’t help himself but smile. The kind that soften his features from the sharpness. Seikin had truly put forth so much effort for him, even went as much and bought him additional candies.
Even with Seikin’s big personality it was easy to tell the man cared for him. Knowing that everything was probably far too sweet for him to even enjoy. “You’re spoiling me.” He stated as Kisumi reached forward taking his empty hand after placing the treats out. The first sweet he wanted to taste was something he was all too familiar with. Kisumi pressed a short but firm kiss to Seikin’s lips as he wanted to ensure the other knew how much he appreciated his efforts. “I adore it, I love that you made me a white cake for white day.” These softer moments between them was what Kisumi treasured dearly as he took a moment to soak the other in, hugging him tight before reaching to grab one of the sugary spheres to suck on.
“You know I’ll expect this every year now.”
