Ahhh~ Jeez...!

The orange-clad point guard crouched, before letting his rear hit the concrete and tipping back to stretch out, spread-eagled and panting for breath. "That's what I get...!" he whined loudly with exasperation, letting the basketball roll away from him and continuing to complain to the setting sun above him and the evening birds flying overhead. "It's not like it's my fault! This is abuse! Abuse, you hear me?!"

Extra practice, coach had said, and Shin-chan had nodded in agreement solemnly. And, hell, usually he wouldn't have batted an eyelash. Extra practice was a thing that had to happen when you had to keep up with none other than his excellency Midorima Shintarou. But extra practice while still recovering from the flu? Forget it! Takao would have rather broken both of his ankles!

He hadn't thought much of it at first, until an hour, six warm-up laps around the court, and practice passes later, when his weakened body, rusty from four days of nothing but bed-rest and the battle against a staggering fever, screamed at him to stop and just lay the hell down.

And lay down he did, right there on the asphalt of the wire-fenced outdoor court, absolutely refusing to move another inch. Until he heard footsteps above his head and he craned his neck to look up behind him, eyes meeting a huge pair of red and black sneakers before anything else. 

"Hnnnnn...?" The black-haired teen blinked and continued peering up, steely grays meeting the red orbs of none other than Seirin Basketball Club's American ace, Kagami Taiga. A broad grin suddenly split Takao's face, but he didn't move even a pinky toe to get up.

"Whoa hey~! Look who it is!" he crowed with laughter, "Come to kick a man while he's down, huh?!"

All throughout the house, Kagami looked around, curious to see what Aomine's house would look like. It looked a lot more... normal than he expected it to. Even the bluenette's room was a pretty normal room, his magazines and AVs no where to be found. "Huh... Your room is a lot more normal than I thought it would be."
