CAPTIVATING THE KING 세작 (2024) EPISODE 02
I am sorry, how do they expect me to stay sane when they reveal that the madness he has without seeming rhyme or reasons which drives his ministers into terror and freakouts is EVERY TIME IT DRIZZLES because that is when he thinks of her who he believes lost AAAAAAAAAAAA
Jo jung suk delivery of "speak your wish," has to be one of his finest line deliveries ever. The man is just too good.
PS: no other show lines this year can top this "go fetch me a rumour." I lost it.
Since there most probably won't be a 2nd season of captivating the king, I suggest a sequel show called captivating the queen, where Yi In convinces Hee Soo to marry him in secret, until the time she is ready to be queen.
And, in the meantime, they will fight off the court schemes while preparing the crown prince to ascend the throne. There will be a lot of sword fight, assassination attempts, a lot of sweet moments, Sang Hwa will teach Jageunnyong how to protect her lady, the Dowager Queen will come back for more plotting and there will be a lot more of sword fight...
What?! A girl can dream...
Seriously floored by the vocal and acting range of Cho Jung Suk between Captivating the King and Hospital Playlist. There are a handful of actors who catch my attention with their vocal range especially, and he brings a lot to this (he's also a very good singer, which helps).
Both shows are excellent (in very different ways). Come for the Cho Jung Suk awesomeness, and stay for all the rest. I can't wait to see what he does next.
The way Joo Sang-hwa becomes the embodiment of the phrase "this is a terrible idea but fine we'll do it your way" almost every time Yi In does something in episode 8 makes me laugh.
I want to see them again in another drama together. Their amazing chemistry was the best thing for me in “Captivating The King”. It was one of two reasons why I kept watching till the end.
The other reason was the sheer talent of this man.
