The banzuke came out today! So... What is a banzuke?

Banzuke : A banzuke, officially called banzuke-hyo, is a document listing the rankings of professional sumo wrestlers published before each official tournament (honbasho). The term can also refer to the rankings themselves. The document is normally released about two weeks before the tournament begins.

Here we see Hoshoryu pointing to his name on the banzuke with his recent promotion to Ozeki, and Kotonowaka pointing to his name with his recent promotion to Sekiwake. Kotonowaka is looking to also reach the rank of Ozeki, after which he plans to change his name to Kotozakura, the name used by his late grandfather, the 53rd Yokozuna.
