Once upon a time, in a kingdom full of....bats....er I mean cats, there lived a particularly irritating-
Particularly helpful one, I mean. In fact this one was peculiarly helpful...in fact, so helpful-
That's quite enough of an intro, Miss Narrator. I'll take it from here. Hello reader. I'm not a cat. Nor am I a bat -
Unless you want to call them one, of course!
Quit derailing the conversation, Miss Narrator. We're in my character monologue. Let me speak. Or think. In peace, please.
Fine. Fine. You're no fun.
Yes. As I was saying. I go by Sel. The overzealous creature you see here is Miss Narrator. Pleasure to meet you, dear reader. Welcome to my blog.
Wait - wait. That's all ?
Uhh...I don't know what else to say. I don't want to bore anyone.
This is your blog, silly. Who are you going to bore ? Yourself ?
Sigh. How about this. I ask you a couple of questions and you answer them?
I rather like that idea. Surprisingly.
If you had to choose between a bat and a cat, which one do you see yourself as closest too and why?
If I could lounge about in a cave all day and any day, I would. So...a bat. Cats have more confidence than me.
Ahh...but bats are incredibly social creatures.
So are humans. Next question, please.
Is somebody embarrassed at their mistake? Fine..fine. Next question. What is your blog about?
It's about things that occupy my fancy, I suppose. Things...characters....fanart...and all the like. For characters, I like to analyse them, figure out why they do what they do, understand parts of myself through them, and why they resonate with me. I'm mostly driven by understanding. I want to know where they fit in the larger web of things. And how they change and influence the environment around me. Because the more I understand, the more I learn to accept and love.
Understanding is love's other name. How beautiful. But characters is very vague. What fandoms are you involved in? What characters do you love?
Fandoms I'm involved in....let's see. Currently it's Witch Hat Atelier mostly, with sprinkles of Frieren, Jujutsu Kaisen and Bungou Stray Dogs here and there. As for characters, that's a very difficult question for me to answer. I have a whole library of them. Mentioning one without the others would be doing them all a diservice. Since they are all close to my heart in many other ways. But the earliest characters I resonated with were Jane Eyre and Kaz Bekker I suppose. I'm drawn towards ones who know what they are and cling to that with all their might. I also love characters who are curious. And playful. Who don't take themselves that seriously.
As they say like attracts like! And opposite attracts too. Both your like and unlike. Imagine them in a room together! So interesting.
Goodness! Would you look at the time! I think we'd better end it. What do you think ? Anything more to say?
Once again, welcome reader. Happy exploring!
