My English teacher (male young adult) has asked the class (me and another girl f18) what type of media would we like to see to later discuss in class

My teacher said that he was fine with that and that he will look into it and if it's too advanced we'll change it for smt else.

Now, is SVSSS too intense for a book club discussion as a first-timer?

I was planning on rereading it anyway but now I'm not sure if it's a good read for people who seem to have a high regard for classic literature.
