Give Love Today
I am nominating my brother @selchieproductions for this, because he has been the one unfailing support that’s been with me all my life. Without him I wouldn’t be here, there are just so many times when he’s helped support and bring me up when I was down, even when he didn’t know it himself. We had a rough start, both of us, but even as a kid he stepped into the big brother role with pride; constantly keeping an eye on me and trying to protect me from the evils in the world. Being less than a year apart in age we were always very close, speaking in our own made-up languages, and with an abusive home situation and severe bullying at school it became very much ‘us against the world’ -we were as tight-knit as siblings can possibly be, sharing much of the same interests and keeping a strong bond even as we grew up and moved apart. I always have been, and still am, a very shy and introverted person with social phobia who doesn’t like being at the center of attention, while on the other hand my brother is almost the exact opposite -loud and outgoing and a very bright personality that demands the attention of everyone in the room. He became something of a shield and a spokes-person for me when I couldn’t handle the world around me, or when I needed to reach out but just couldn’t make my voice heard. When he lived abroad he sent care packages stuffed with everything from comics and chocolate to plushies and jewelry, and when I ended up without a steady job and struggling as an independent artist and freelancer he stepped up and told me he’d been planning to move anyway; wouldn’t it be an awesome idea to share a double-apartment he could afford with his salary since we lived in the same city anyway? And it honestly worked out great. When I was struggling with figuring out my gender identity he was there, accepting even when maybe he didn’t fully understand, and it made it a whole lot easier to accept it myself. Yes, we fight, like most siblings, but we rarely stay angry for long -because the one thing we know without a doubt is that we love each other and we will fight for each other even when the rest of the world just keeps failing us. He is the person I think of first and most whenever I feel suicidal -because I know how much it would hurt him and I don’t want to do that to him. Above all, he is what stays my hand when I feel like I can’t take it anymore, and makes me push forward just a little bit more, just a little bit longer, until I get my feet back under myself again. Thank you, Johan, for always being there, with love and support and a bit of good old ‘get off your ass and pull it together damnit’. Thanks for not judging, and for being my friend through thick and thin.
Bros forever, yo *fistbumps* Balalalaalalaa~

tha mi gu math cinnteach gu bheil taraisgear ‘toirsgian’ ‘san dual-chainnt a th'aice. I think it might be her Pabail Uarach shining through. You use a tarrasgein to get to the caoran when cutting peat.
ah, seadh, tha ciall ann an sin, agus tha “toirsgian” a’ nochdadh san dà chuid, Dwelly agus AFB.
’s dòcha gum bu chòir dhomh a bhith nas eòlaiche air, mar, obraichean dùthchasach nan Gàidheal às dèidh bliadhna anns na h-Eileanan, ach gu mì-fhortanach chan eil.

tha mi toilichte gad fhàicinn ‘nso a-rithist. An do chunna thu am page ùr a th'agam-sa fhìn air Facebook, far a bheil mise a sgrìobhadh ‘sa Ghàidhlig is ‘sa Shàmi? Co-dhiù, fàilte air ais a charaid.
tapadh leat, agus chunnaic gu dearbh: tha mi dìreach air do phost mu deidhinn a chur anns a’ chiudha.
The cons of having a brother that spends all his free time weaving is that yarn tends to get over the entire place.
...
AND APPARENTLY MY CAT LIKES EATING IT.
Just picture this:
You're about to clean your cat's litterbox when SUDDENLY SILVER SPARKLES OMG HIDDEN TREASURES IN THE LITTER BOX LET'S GO DIG THEM UP
Because apparently my cat is a FRIGGIN' MAGICAL UNICORN BABY AND POOPS SPARKLY SILVER I AM READY FOR MY HOGWARTS LETTER NOW COME AT ME MINISTRY OF MAGIC BRO NO OBLIVIATING ME THIS TIME
Sadly though it seems like the poop was made up of 99% silver yarn and 1% poop and not one ounce magic.
*disappointed sigh*
Or wait... maybe I've already had my memory altered... maybe it WAS magical poop... maybe...
OH WAIT WHAT WAS I DOING AGAIN?
selchieproductions: an toiseach, ’s toil leamsa Gàidhlig nan Hearadh (agus tha mi air fàs beagan sgìth de Ghàidhlig Leòdhais, feumaidh mi ràdh :-P).
cuideachd, ge-tà, ceist: a bheil thu eòlach air àite far an cleachd iad "fhìn" leis a h-uile riochdair?
