tbh those two posts about how lord of the flies and the stanford prison experiment would have been happy fun-fests if they hadn’t been about privileged white males are so wrong
like if the only reason the “guards” in the prison experiment abused power is because they were so used to patriarchal privilege then why the fuck did the “prisoners” (who should have been just as narcissistic) fall into their roles so readily? we all love to pretend to be faultless but really we all have the capacity to be awful (and to be wonderful, too. but that’s not the issue here.)
