So tonight was the My Little Pony Series Finale broadcast. I felt a whole cartful of emotions watching that. Chiefly among them was how glad I was that I got a chance to participate in my little corner of the Horse World for as long as I did. 

The redraw here is from my very first Ask-Mahogany-Pony post which is apparently dated October 4, 2011. Mahogany the character must have existed since at least that previous August, but I guess the tumblr didn’t start until October.

MLP: FiM is a show that I can honestly say changed my life. I found an online group of friends to connect with at a time when I was spinning my wheels alone in the meatspace world. I treasure the memories I have from meeting up with people, to artjams over Skype late into the nights, the RP I played Woody in; it all helped me get through a lot of nasty years over the past nine. Thank you!

Technically it was a week ago, I’ve just been hella busy. 

Thank you to everyone who’s been here with me for the past five years. I honestly don’t know what would’ve become of me if I hadn’t started this blog and met everyone I’ve met since 2011.

Mahogany flapped steadily, pulling his cart through the night sky. The parcels were tightly packed under a blanket, strapped to the cart’s chassis. A few clouds dotted the horizon as he flew over the deserted lands below.

A tingle made itself known in his ear, and Mahogany flicked it with annoyance. Suddenly some kind of pressure wave flashed past, rocking the cart forwards against the pegasus’ rump. Mahogany looked over his shoulder in alarm, shocked by the column of swirling, powerful light blasting up from the ground, far to the north.

Mahogany watched it, hypnotized by the lights swirling around the column. The tingle in his ear persisted as long as he watched. Part of him wanted to go closer, to see what the lights meant, but the parcels in his cart couldn’t really wait. And it looked /really/ far away... Alas....
