“Cas!” Dean yells, running towards the angel.
“Yeah?”
“That was Bobby, Lena’s just collapsed, we gotta go.”
“I’ll meet you there.”
The angel disappears before his eyes and Dean sighs. Driving alone again, it’s become something he doesn’t enjoy. He’s used to having Lena or Sam with him but since Sam is god knows where, he’ll have to do what he can for Lena. He drives to Bobby’s house and parks quickly. Running into the house, he finds Lena awake and sitting on the couch. This is probably the worst he’s ever seen her. Walking towards her, he makes his presence known.
“Hey Lena.”
She looks up at him, her eyes red-rimmed, “Hey Dean.”
He takes a seat next to her on the couch, “What’s been going on? What happened?”
She looks at him and he sees tears welling up in her eyes, “I sat down with Sam, and we talked.”
His eyes widened, “You did what?”
She nods and sniffles lightly, “Yeah, I called him just to leave another voicemail because I’ve been worried, I mean we’ve all been worried but instead of getting his voicemail, he picked up. I was so shocked, I almost didn’t respond to him in time. I asked him if he would be willing to come over and talk with me. He told me he’d heard all my previous voicemails and read all my texts. So he came over this morning.”
Dean scoots closer to her on the couch and lightly nods his head, motioning for her to continue telling him what had happened.
“I opened the door for him and I was just so relieved to see him, I went to hug him but he wouldn’t let me. We sat down, here on the couch. I was just asking him if he remembered me. He said he did but we couldn’t be what we were before,” she let out a deep breath and the tears started rolling down her cheeks, “he told me that my precious little Sammy was gone and there was nothing I could do about it.”
She cries a little harder after saying that. Dean moves towards her and wraps her up in his arms.
“Lena, I’m so sorry. You know he’s not himself right now, there’s something wrong,” he said, wiping the tears off of her face with his hand. She hiccuped before continuing.
“He told me that he didn’t care what we had before all of this happened. My Sam was gone and he was never coming back. Dean, he told me he never loved me.”
She wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his shoulder, sobbing. All he could do was wrap his arms around her, rubbing her back to soothe her. How could his brother say that to her? He understood his brother was soulless, but that didn’t excuse this behavior. He kissed the top of her head before pulling away.
“Look Lena, I’m sorry, okay? I’m so sorry he’s acting this way. I wish there was something I could do.”
She pulled her head out of his neck to look him in the eyes. “It’s okay, Dean,” she said, wiping a tear off of her cheek and standing. He watched as she walked in a circle.
“We’ll figure it out, right? I mean, there’s got to be some way to get his soul back. We can hunker down and figure it out. I’m sure Dad wouldn’t mind if you stayed here. Hell, you could bring that soulless bastard back here, and we could find some way to fix it. Dean, we have to fix it. I can’t lose him. We only just got started. I have loved him for as long as I can remember. He can’t just be gone.”
She stopped pacing, covered her eyes with her hand, and Dean watched as her shoulders began to shake. A fresh set of tears fell down her face as she fell to her knees. Tears welled up in Dean’s eyes just watching her. This wasn’t good. He looked to the door as Cas walked in. The angel disregarded him, only focusing on Selena.
He watched as Cas knelt down next to Selena and wrapped his hands around her shoulders. She took her hand off her face to wrap her arms around Cas. He finally made eye contact with Dean as Selena curled around him. He placed his hand on the back of her head and held her like she was a child. Maybe that’s what she needed right now. Someone to pick up her pieces and hold her together. Dean watched as the angel held Selena, her cries subsiding slightly. Cas nodded to Dean, who stood and left the room.
“You’re okay. You’re going to be okay.”
“Cas, what is going on? What happened to Sam? Why does this hurt so bad? I could understand if it were just a simple breakup, but this feels like my life is over. Like part of me is missing.”
The angel’s eyes widened. “I wasn’t sure at first, but this is really making me reconsider.”
She backed away slightly to look him in the eyes. “What are you talking about?”
He didn’t meet her eyes and instead stood. She stood behind him and followed him out the front door. She saw her father and Dean talking, they looked at her quizzically. She shrugged her shoulders before continuing to follow Cas. They made it to the edge of the property before he turned towards her again. His eyes seemed to search her face for something, something she was sure he didn’t find.
“Tell Dean I’ll be back soon.”
She was taken aback by this. Why would he lead her all the way out here just to leave? Selena grabbed his hand and placed a kiss on it before nodding. He smiled and disappeared. As soon as he disappeared, she saw Sam. Her smile dropped quickly, but she couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of him. He smirked and stalked forward, coming to a stop in front of her.
“Hey babe.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Don’t call me that. What do you want? I thought you said to drop it.”
“Well, little Sammy seems to like you enough.”
She scoffed. “You’re disgusting.”
She turned around to walk away from him, but he grabbed her hand.
“Where are you going? I only just got here.”
“Look, I know this is just fun and games for you, but this is my life. Sam is my life. You’re not my Sam. I don’t want anything to do with you. Just leave me alone, alright?”
He laughed. “I can’t believe you just admitted that that man is your entire life. He’s a weak little bitch, and you just eat it up. There’s something wrong with you, Lena.”
She ripped her hand away from him. “Don’t call me that! You’ll never understand why I love Sam.”
“Not that I’d want to. Now that I’m here, he’s stronger. It’ll be easier for him to survive. Don’t you see that?”
“I don’t care! Even if it was hard, we had each other. You’re not my Sam, and I won’t call you by his name.”
“Don’t worry, sweetheart. I wouldn’t expect you to. You can stay here with daddy and rot away for all I care.”
Tears make their way into her eyes again, God she was sick of feeling this way. What did he want from her?
“What do you want from me Samuel?”
He laughs, “So you won’t call me Sam but you’ll call me Samuel. Yeah sure that makes sense.”
“What do you want from me? I won’t ask you again.”
He rolls his eyes and tries to step closer to her. She backs away, making sure to stay four steps away at all times.
“Come on Selena, you know Sam, or me I should say. I’m just the stronger side of him, but I’m still him. I know how he feels about you. I also know that other than his brother, you’re the one who knows him the best. You should hunt with me. None of that romance crap, but if you wanted we could do a quickie and-”
“Ugh! You vile bastard. Just stay away from me, alright?”
He smirks but turns around and walks away from her. Just who did he think he was, treating her like she meant nothing? She walks back to the house where Dean and her father were still outside.
“Lena? What happened? Where’s Cas?” Dean questions.
“One question at a time Dean.”
“Okay, where’s Cas?”
“He told me to tell you that he’d be back soon. I don’t know where he went or how long he’ll be gone for.”
“Did anything else happen? You were gone for a solid ten minutes.”
“Uh yeah, Sam was out front. I got rid of him.”
“What?” Dean yelled, “You got rid of him?”
“He was being disgusting, I don’t like this Dean. We need to figure out what to do, and quickly.”

Guys! I don’t know why but I’ve gotten the feeling that since these can all be read separately, I might make Selena’s OC character “Little Angel”. Like it won’t be an entire story, although some things may follow along the same instances.
i’m convinced the words ‘quick’ and ‘short’ aren’t in my vocab when it comes to writing… i’m picking prompts if I’m being honest. just to get some stuff out because my drafts is a wasteland right now where my dreams go to die 😭🙏🏼
so i’m really stuck. little angel has hit a point where i don’t know what to do. my short story about the gang meeting lexi has turned into a twelve page story. i’m so frustrated. my brain is so creative but i tend to over describe. if i could, without feeling terrible about myself, i would delete the past like three pages. seriously, somebody send help.
Okay I get out of work at 7 tonight, it’ll take me around an hour to get home and comfortable. Expecting to post the first part of my spn story tonight! Gah I’m so excited! I’ve been reading it to my friends and family and they all say it’s good but come on, you know how it is. You need another writers perspective sometimes. I encourage you to comment, reblog, and/or send asks my way for certain topics involving the boys! Mwah see y’all later! 🤍
So I’ve been writing this supernatural story for a long ass time, If i choose to post it, who will read it? I don’t want to post if no one is going to read it 😭🙏🏼
Its been months since I updated Little Angel and quite frankly, we're nearing the end of what I have written :( We'll hopefully be back with regular updates soon! This is sort of a filler chapter because I was struggling to fit Lena into the show canonically, this is the turning point where I decided to go off the rails and stop following the storyline of the show. This is probably by far the least interesting chapter. Set after Selena lost her grace and is no longer part angel.

Scene opens with Dean scrolling on a laptop as Sam and Lena walk in.
“Hey, have you seen the uh-”
Dean tosses a bottle of pills to Sam as Selena takes a seat across from him at the table. Dean doesn’t even glance up at her.
“Ah, yeah, thanks.”
“Yeah, bottoms up.”
“Yeah. What’s with the bag?”
“Oh, you remember Top Notch wrestling?”
“Yeah, those wrestling shows Dad took us to when we were kids.”
Lena chose to stay silent, seeing as she had no idea what the boys were talking about. Her father had never been one for sports, preferring to work on cars instead. Her knowledge of cars, however, was no match for Dean’s. Maybe that’s why Dean and her father got on so well together.
“Right, I came across an obituary last night. Larry ‘The Hangman’ Lee died.”
“Oh, no. Wasn’t he uh-”
“He was Dad’s favorite. Every time that noose came out, Dad would be up on his feet. Yeah, that was one of the very few times I actually saw him happy.”
“Yeah, I remember that.”
“Anyway, the, uh, funeral’s less than a day’s drive. I say we go pay our respects.”
“Don’t you think our plates are a little full? I mean with Amara, Cass,” he gestures towards Selena before Dean interrupts him.
“Yeah, I know, but we’ve got jack on how to stop Amara, jack on how to save Cass-”
“If he even wants to be saved-”
Lena opens her mouth to speak, but Dean doesn’t even give her the chance. “He does. Even if he doesn’t know it yet.”
“Dean-”
“I’m burnt out, guys, okay? And we all need to get out of here. Let’s go stretch our legs.”
Sam looks at Lena, and Dean finally does as well.
“I think I’m gonna stay here. You guys take a break, I’ll stay here, read up more on the lore, and try to figure out a way to help Cass. This was a part of your childhood, I don’t even know the man. It wouldn’t feel right going to the funeral of a man I know nothing about. If you need anything, call me. I’m not going anywhere.”
Dean nods as Sam continues to look at her. Dean grabs his bag and continues out of the room. “Are you sure about this?” Sam asks, concerned for his fiancee.
“Sammy, I’ll be fine. Dean’s right, it’s too much. Take a break. Hey, what if I clean the place while you two are gone? Lots of dust in our room, Sam, and the kitchen is a mess. That fridge needs to be scrubbed from Dean’s leftovers.”
Sam chuckles, “Just don’t try anything without us here, okay?”
Lena smiles, “I wouldn’t dream of it,” she places a kiss on his cheek before lightly pushing his face away from hers, “now go. Spend time with your brother.”
Sam stands and begins walking out of the room, calling over his shoulder, “All we ever do is spend time together.”
“Not without me!” Lena calls after him.
As soon as he’s out of view, she turns back toward the books on the table. Stacking them into a pile, she blows dust off the table, coughing into her elbow as she sighs. Yeah, it needs to be cleaned. She walks into the kitchen to grab some cleaning supplies. When she reenters the room, she’s startled.
“Oh my god! Hedione, don’t do that!”
The angel smiles, “It’s hard not to when I can’t give you a heads up anymore.”
“Hedi, it’s better this way. That part of me was killing me. Not that I would have died with the grace in me, but stealing grace from other angels just so I could live and not be sick, it wasn’t right. I’m glad I’m normal.”
“I know, and I know you’re happy to be with Sam. Engaged, I see, finally.”
Lena laughs, “As if we were ever going to stay apart. My life isn’t complete without them in it. I know what they went through to make me normal, but I went through a lot too. Having the grace taken out of me, all the weight of the injuries I’ve sustained finally caught up with me. I died, Hedi. Speaking of, what’s been going on recently? I haven’t heard a word from anyone in heaven in a long time.”
“Well, my dear, I don’t expect you would have. After everything that went down with Metatron, we’ve been laying low.”
“That makes sense. I’m glad you decided to pay a visit, although I really do need to start cleaning now,” she says, motioning to the table.
Hedione takes one glance and nods, saying, “Of course, I’ll leave you be. Until next time, my darling.”
The angel disappears with a whoosh, leaving Lena alone once again. Although the boys are gone, her mind starts to wander. What if Lucifer was lying? What would happen if she were to try going up against Amara and it didn’t work? She could die, she no longer had any sort of grace in her. Leaving Sam now was out of the question. Being with Sam and Dean was all she ever wanted, the things they’ve been through together and not had kept them apart. She glances up at the clock on the wall, it’s been an hour. An hour since the boys left, what the heck was she supposed to do? Why’d she stay here? Cleaning and doing research was an excuse, she’d have that done within the first day. What should she do in the meantime? Sighing, she continues cleaning. She misses Castiel. He’d keep her company. Hopefully the boys get bored and call her soon.
The scene fades as she’s cleaning and flashes over to Sam and Dean, continuing on the episode. We never see her again in this episode.
