babyyy... yo' glamour altar ain't just 'bout lookin' cute. it's where you remind the universe exactly who tf you are. every time you sit at it, you feed ya confidence, ya beauty, ya magnetism, and that "everybody obsessed with me" energy.

💋 start with a pretty cloth pink, white, gold, red... whatever make you feel expensive, soft, divine, and untouchable.

🪞 a mirror this the heart of the altar. every time you look in it, speak sweet over yourself. "i'm the prize. favor follow me. beauty live in my bones."

🕯️ candles white for purity. pink for self-love. gold or yellow for confidence, fame & success. red if you tryna turn the heat up a lil'. 👀

🌹 fresh flowers roses, peonies, jasmine... baby let ya altar smell like somebody favorite memory.

💎 crystals rose quartz for self-love. carnelian for confidence. citrine for that rich girl glow. clear quartz to amplify all the sweetness.

💄 beauty items lip gloss, perfume, jewelry, lotion, makeup... if it make you feel fine, it deserve a seat at the table.

🍯 sweet offerings a lil' honey, cinnamon, sugar, fruit, or some candy. we keepin' life sweet over here, period.

🦢 symbols of beauty butterflies. pearls. gold. seashells. pretty pictures. affirmations. anything that scream, "main character."

📖 a journal write love letters to yourself. future self affirmations. manifestations. receipts of every blessing that found you.

🌸 work the altar light ya candle. anoint ya wrists with perfume or oil. look in the mirror. compliment yourself like you ya own biggest fan. dance a lil'. laugh. smile. receive.

because glamour magic ain't pretending to be somebody else... it's remembering the masterpiece you already are.

Self Altar

That's right, I have an altar to myself.

Arrogant? Um, have you fucking met me?

I kid. I don't think this is arrogant at all. All people have a spark of the Divine within them. Were we not created by Gods? What is so wrong with honoring that?

Self altars are a meditative device. A self care device. A self love device.

Mine is on the bookshelf that holds my altars to Hestia and Athena above it, and my magical books below it. It is to the side of my work desk, so I'm next to it all day long. It isn't just my icon. My altar contains

My planner

My shadow work journal

My prayer journal

My general spiritual journal

Various crystals

Religious iconography

An incense burner

Rose water for my face

A trivet to hold my teapot

A blessing from my friend

And my Tiara of the Year

It reminds me that I am not just a worker bee, a mindless drone for capitalistic greed. I am a person, worthy of care and love, even from myself. And let me tell you, I have struggled so hard with loving myself. So I love myself and I take care of myself in practical ways using my altar as a tool.

This weeks altar maintenance

Every week (or so 👀) I add to all my existing spells, slowly building the energy up over time

✅ transmutation spell upkeep with a sigil, cinnamon, coffee, St. John’s wort and clear quartz

✅ clairvoyance spell upkeep with a sigil and amethyst

✅ wiped down the altar eucalyptus oil and water

Healing altar for today 🫐

Card of the day is Queen of Pentacles. Here she also represents Hyldemoer, the Elder Mother.

Message from the Elder Mother: "I see you you've mastered peezing, the art of sneezing and peeing at the same time." (7 of Wands)

The guides are always telling me to piss out my demons. I forgot I meant to put motherwort on this altar for clearing & heart healing but I'll put it in my tea.

There's no elder in this playing card deck but I pulled sumac which is also a protective tree. 6 of Cups, a return to childhood?

7 of Wands appears as well in the Black Locust card, defending what matters. The black locust symbolizes action and inaction. I am in a place of inaction for now as I try to ground back into myself, my own will, and the sense of safety needed to make healthy choices.

Elderberry is poisonous raw but offers immunity when prepared correctly. Like my raw emotions 😶‍🌫️ which when processed mindfully and over time, thru art etc, can become catalysts of healing for myself and others.

Elder branches were used to make flutes. Music is often my way out of torment. The wood spits and screams while burning, nature demons being released. I'm working on some weird angry witchpop music

How can I let go? Of control, regret, etc. Three of Cups. I am allowed to feel joy. I am allowed to have fun. I don't need to suffer for my sins.
