I've seen a lot of mutuals I know are Australian/in Australia reblogging that self-defence post and I know they probably already know but it's important to remember that carrying pepper spray/a knife/anything cops think you might intend to use as a weapon is illegal across the country and self-defence is NOT a lawful excuse in any state except WA. Obviously it's up to you if you still want to carry that stuff but just be aware you can be tried in court for it.
