He stood by the dinner table, rolling down his sleeves in a patient manner. One of his worst pet peeves was whenever the food got wasted. She could have waited until they were finished eating yet she couldn’t wait to skip straight to business. Not the kind of business that was usually expected of a date, this was more of the lethal type. Unfortunately for her she had underestimated her target who was one step ahead.
The career blew out the last candle before making his way to his guest to bid his farewell. He loomed over the rebel, his head tilted as he watched her curiously in silence. There was still a glint of fury in her eyes. This amused the career as he crouched down with a smirk. He glanced at the wound which had been caused by her own weapon and drew a circle over it. “Red does look good on you,” he smiled at the rebel with false softness in his voice, running his soaked fingertip across her cheek to leave a crimson trail as a goodbye gift.
