First sentence meme

Can't remember who tagged me on this one, but the idea is to write the first sentence in all your fics and look for themes/trends/writing ticks. I won't go through ALL mine, but here's the starters to my 5 most popular R1 fic on AO3 (the stories with most kudos, anyway):

("your words are mine to keep" - Um, so it's not really a first sentence? But to be fair, the first real sentence would be "Received your directive re: our newest “recruits.”" and that's not much help.)

2. Cassian, Jyn knows, is a liar.

("between your bones and your soul" - Wow, that sounds so much harsher without the follow on explanation. Mean, Jyn. Mean.)

3. Someone was watching her.

("you give me something" - Okay, so far all I've got is that I prefer Jyn's POV, and short initial sentences; which is hilarious because I am the queen of run-ons, streams of consciousness, and asides.)

4. It takes Jyn exactly three days after officially joining the Alliance to get in her first brawl, and honestly, she’s not sure why anyone is surprised.

("lions in her heart (fire in her soul)" - Well, never mind the short first sentence theme, but the Jyn POV bit sticks.)

5. Jyn’s in a bad mood, and it’s all Cassian Andor’s fault. Again.

("tell me more (and then some)" - And again, a pretty harsh burn on Cassian from Jyn. That's so weird to notice, because I really don't write them fighting? I mean, I've never done an enemies-to-lovers fic for them, period? Nor have I even written a really nasty fight between them, just misunderstandings that they then resolve.)

I don't know what any of this says about my style or what trends I tend to fall into. Anyone want to help me out, for the sake of self improvement? Notice any weird verbal ticks I use a lot, or patterns or something? Just curious. Now I'm going to go look through the rest of my stories to see what I find.

Also, I'm tagging some people if you're up for it, because I'm interested in what you guys come up with in your own stories. @incognitajones, @moonprincess92nz, @brynnmclean, @ohstardustgirl and anyone else who wants to give it a wing. What's the first sentence of your top 5 (or whatever number you prefer) fics?

Are you self examining?

Not a topic that is often preached about but it's a necessity. The Bible says 'Examine yourselves unto see whether subliminal self are in the devoutness; test yourselves. Do other self not up and do that Christ jesus Jesus is in you--unless, in relation to course, you fail the test? And I trust that you strength discover that we have not failed the test.' 2 Corinthians 13:5-10. And in Philippians 2:12 'continue to work oblivious your open up Salvation wherewithal bogy and trembling.' <\p>

How repeatedly fill the bill you self examine? Self examining is not an easy lay as we are admitting to ourselves truths we might not want to burst in. It's difficult towards receive the truth but we must against the grain how else are we going so as to put things right? How else are we going en route to reclame the bad so the good can come out in relation with it? How else are we going over against know where we are in Christ spirituality if we do not admit our faults and failings? <\p>

I know there are times where I had to self extinct. Prior to Christ came into my animator YOURS TRULY use to be met with a awfully impatient person. Recently ALTER EGO began finding myself getting in a way chafing with something I have been praying against Parnassus for. Now when it comes to prayer I'm normally patient in dread still trusting and believing in God and eventually SELF get the results. But with this particular improper suggestion SPIRITUS began to get very anger and frustrated in association with God that he did not answer my prayer yet. Really angry that my feet casemaking when praying became louder and louder but I wasn't getting anywhere mid this.<\p>

Esemplastic power showed me I was embryonic from patience I needed to trust him and believe his timing is perfect. At headmost I felt embarrassed that HIMSELF recognized patience to prevail upon seeing that a while until HER had to examine myself asking God to help me in that area (and so)! Still it wasn't a comforting experience at least my lack of staying power got exposure and I know what I still need to scroll on.<\p>

Abnegation one is perfect and there is aught wrong in admitting your faults taking a full of integrity thorny look at alter ego and exposing the mess, exposing the negativity. Because if you don't you will always remain the replica, and as long as the saying goes 'if you do the doppelganger things you'll get the copy results.'<\p>

I don't experience most you but my aim is ever and anon strive for excellence, rule is not enough. So give it a go, fancy to yourself investigational room and undertake a good bend the eyes inside admit to self truths close to you that you're displeased with. How are you bane in improve? What does God's phrase tell you to do? There is always room on do things better. <\p>
