So I'm disabled.

I don't hate being disabled, and sometimes I rather like it. SUre it causes chronic pain, but it's been a part of me for so long that I feel like I wouldn't be me without it. And I cope well enough.

But... There is still a tiny little part of me that wishes that I could still run. Run or jump or play games or sports without being in pain.

Normally that want is barely present if at all, but when I watch Volta by Cirque Du Soleil, that want rears it's ugly head so loudly.

The Free Spirits in Volta are amazing. They're characters whom I wish I could be friends with. I want to run with them. I want to jump with them. I want to play with them.

I want to rollerskate with Ela or dance with Waz or jump with the parkour artists. I want to run.

If I could just exist in the world of Volta free of pain for five minutes. Just five minutes. And run with the Free Spirits. I'd be the happiest I could ever be.
