Went back to my roots with a simple piece and wanted to draw my really old Who-sona, Coral, next to Yautia to show just how similar things have been since I started selfshipping. Warrior women from a place either undocumented or thought to be a myth. Their colors are also blue and purple, although the precise shades are different. They also fell in love with former villains who are associated with the color green. I tried to replicate the 2018 adaptation style, which is kinda hard to do when doing it 2D, since it's fluffy and shiny, but hey! I tried.
I guess there's still some things that haven't changed for the good :)

OK SO tristan was a daycare assistant who was friends with everyone and sometimes covered night shifts but they were interested in tech and slowly were learning how to do repairs and stuff. They noticed everyone starting to act strange but they didn't want to push anyone into talking about smth they didn't want to so they stayed quiet. One night they got home and immediately fell asleep, but woke up really early and realized they forgot their phone at the plex so they drove down to get it only to see the building engulfed in flames.
They didn't have a phone to call anyone so (like an idiot) they rushed inside because that's where all of their friends are they couldn't just do nothing! They weren't able to find anyone, rockstar row was almost completely decimated so they made their way to the daycare, finding sun and moon but they were off and wouldn't power back on. They tried to grab them to drag them to the nearest exit, but the heat from the metal burnt their hands very badly. They still tried anyway, but ended up collapsing from smoke inhalation.
Outside the plex Vanessa, Gregory and Freddy had just gotten out when Vanessa noticed their car and realized they must be inside so she called 911 and they got saved by firefighters but barely. When they woke up days later in the hospital they were inconsolable because they believed all of their friends had just died. Vanessa visited them and they were incredibly relieved to find out at least two of their friends were ok, but they weren't the same after that.
They ended up getting asthma from how badly their lungs were damaged from the smoke and had to start doing physical therapy to gain their strength again, not being able to use their hands for a while either because of all the scarring. They almost always keep them covered with bandages. They can't stand to look at them and be reminded of how they failed to save anyone.
Once they were released from the hospital, Vanessa, Gregory and Freddy all moved in with them because it's better than the apartment they were all living in.
After about a year and a half, they're still horribly depressed from everything. They try to put on a brace face for everyone but it isn't working. One night when they reach their lowest, they leave a note on their bed and they go to the ruins of the pizza plex and to the daycare. They walk around for a while before eventually sitting down right in the middle of the daycare and popping open a bottle of their antidepressants. They're about to try to kill themselves right when they see something shining out of the corner of their eye. Curiosity gets the best of them and they put the bottle away and go to check it out, only to find it's one of the bells from their beloved daycare attendants.
With a newfound hope, they spend hours searching through the rubble to the point where the scars on their hands reopen from how harsh they're being and the rising sun shines through the cracks in the ceiling before they're able to find the daycare attendants body.
They sit there for a while, too weak to move any more crying from happiness when their phone starts to ring. Vanessa. She found their note and called them in a panic but they calmly tell her to come to the daycare and help her.
Vanessa, Gregory and Freddy all around about 30 minutes later and are relieved to see they're mostly alright, but none of them expected to see the daycare attendant. Vanessa helps them lug the cold animatronic out to the car and back to their home and set it up on a table in the garage.
They spend the next few months with whatever free time they have neglecting to take care of themself and combing the ruins of the pizza plex for parts to try and fix the daycare attendant, eventually they find the broken down versions of their friends and bring them home to be fixed too. But no matter what they seem to do, the daycare attendant won't turn back on. It takes over a year for them to be fully repaired and back.
They have everyone back again, but it didn't fix them. All of their friends are okay now, no one seemed to die in the fire that night except for them.
And they can't stop seeing that stupid yellow rabbit out of the corner of their eyes. The whispering it does and the spotty memory it gives them is starting to get really annoying.
OKAYY I got a little too excited writing stuff but now have some fun details about the silly little animatic
-the flowers are forget-me-nots which symbolize love, friendship, affection, loyalty and remembrance of those who are lost
-theyre forget-me-nots because Vanessa is forgetting how they used to be before the fire no matter how much she tries not to
-all the art of them is from Vanessa's perspective and memories of them which is why they're all distorted cause she's starting to forget :3

i've had this guy brewing in my mind for literal months and could not go another second without posting them
their circus name is Dusk and their avatar is essentially a living shadow; they're 3-dimensional but ever so slightly translucent, and their facial features are always transparent in that non-euclidean type of way. they joined the circus after zooble but before pomni and have a tendency to fawn-response caine, which he of course finds quite flattering; they quickly become his unashamedly favorite player 🎪
Come here! Come here boy! Come eat with me! Who's a bad boy? Who's the evilest worst boy? Who's the most dastardly being in all the cosmos? You are! Yes, you are! Do you want a treat? I think you deserve a treat!
