In kind of deliriously happy right now. If you don't want to hear about my personal life, you can just skip this post but I want to share with you so here it goes.

I have a job working at a grocery store. There are many cute men and women working there, but one in particular caught my eye. I don't want to use his name so I will just call him Self-Serve Guy for now since that's were he usually works. He's a cashier and I'm at the cake counter so we don't see each other often. We have this weird thing that would happen where whenever I go on my break I would pass by where he works and if he's not seeing customers at that very moment we could have little 5-second conversations.

This whole thing started when I was sick and had a cold so I came in to get orange juice and tea and he checked me out (my items, not me) and I said that I didn't want to get him sick and he said that he has a strong immune system because he works out. It seemed an odd thing to bring up out of the blue and I thought maybe he liked me but nothing came of it.

UNTIL!!! I went home over reading week and made some cookies and told him about them before and promised I would bring some in for him. I did, and he said to repay me he wants to take me out to dinner. So now I'm kinda ridiculously happy because I have something that's possibly a date!!!

I mean, bear in mind we haven't actually set a date or time, and that right now it's all hypothetical and not an actual concrete plan but it's still nice to think about.

I will keep you all updated as this progresses, if it progresses.

Self Serve guy update.

Well friends, that didn't turn out the way I thought it would. Turns out the thing that I thought was a date was not. It was just coffee between friends.

Very disappointed, but mostly in myself for letting myself think it was a date and getting so excited. Welp.

Update on self-serve guy!

We have a date! 

Thursday we are going for coffee together!!!! I’m literally so excited, I can’t even. I’m just smiling all the time, and kind of deliriously happy, and I really like this guy or I really want to get to know him and I can’t wait to see him.
