coping and stuff
explore your region!
So, my friend Professor Case has a little Pokémon-themed group on Strava to help encourage those of us who live in a Pokémon world (lol) to move around more for our health. ^u^
It started off as like the “Trainers Club” (trainers being a pun on the shoes 👟 & PKMN Trainers >u<) but she’s since rebranded it to “Explore Your Region!” - like, go out & do stuff with your Pokémon via PKMN Go, or just your imagination!
Of course, I wanna add pictures to everything I post (manually, because no maps for me, thank you ouo;) But I can’t exactly take photos at the pool, so I made a little doodle of me swimming with Rain - I sometimes imagine that’s what Ansy would do when she’s not running around on adventures, go on weekly swims with her mer-kitty 🩵💦
Then I started making doodles for other activities I like that I may or may not get a photo in for (all with a Pokémon friend!) - yoga with Cirrus (Cinccino), walking with Sora (Castform), & trail hiking with Candyfloss (Whimsicott). 🍃🥾
& now I’ve made some for those short martial arts lessons I’ve started**
I’ve tried a bunch of different styles over the years, though I can see myself doing these most to warrant a doodle: karate with Aura (Lucario), kendo with Cloud (Samurott), tai chi with Yin (Mienshao), & taijijian with Jian (Honedge). 🥋
**I do recommend finding a teacher & a class for the best results, especially if you’re a beginner, but I also appreciate if you, like me, don’t have the time or money for regular lessons at dojos - the commute, the tuition, the uniforms…everything adds up to the point that you throw up your hands instead of throwing hands (lol).
It helps that I have the experience (even if I’m very out of practice ;u;), but yeah - I accept my form isn’t going to be perfect vuv;

If you wanna join us, Strava (to the extent that I use it lol) is free. Then it’s a short matter of joining our group & going out there! Every step, great or small, is celebrated there 8u8 🩵
hi welcome to society! here's some rules you need to follow to get by!
you can't be fat, you can't look old (but you have to be respectful to the people who already look old no matter what!!!) and god FORBID you're proud of what you look like unless you're a skinny, white, conventionally attractive cishet person. you need to stand up for yourself, just remember that you can't seem rude while doing so! BUT you can't be too timid either or people with way too much power will take advantage of you. if you fight back it's your fault and if you don't fight back? its your fault too, sorry not sorry. if you become an activist fighting for equality you're a snowflake, but if you side with the system you're a traitor. you're inferior if you're a woman and if you're a man who doesn't act like the ideal image of a male you're too feminine, which makes you inferior too. you're gay? depending on who you ask that's fine mostly, just don't go bragging about it. trans? good luck lmao. intersex? whats that. oh you're a person of color? you don't have any struggles we recognize and after all we give you our jobs! what more could you want you filthy immigrant? oh and most important of all: respect one another! unless they don't abide to the standards we set! ignore the people who say it's wrong, what do these outcasts know anyway? the system is fair to everyone after all! we, a bunch of old white men, made it so and don't you trust us?? we're white and we're men and we have years of experience of being superior and rich so of course we know what we're talking about!!! you can trust us!!!!!
Not sponsored or anything but I found this site for sleep tracking specifically designed for non-24 sleep disorders and it is incredible. In the past, I've tried sleep journaling and stuff but this has been way easier for me. It looks pretty, it has different types of charts it can display your sleep in, and it even tells me what part of the world my sleep is currently aligned with. It tells me what my average drift is too (about an hour and a half a day which is what I thought it was so that's very affirming) it also let's you track outside factors that impact sleep like meds, illnesses, and being artificially woken up.
So yeah, so far I highly recommend Circadia for sleep tracking if you have a sleep disorder.
Here are some of the charts that I like
And it says my schedule is currently aligned with Lagos which is fun. I wonder where I'll be tomorrow lol
It also has an optional "community" feature where it tells you the number of other users who are on the same schedule as you and a few other things so you don't feel as alone in this (no names are included on it but it still feels nice and it means I can use that feature while still maintaining privacy)
For anyone who doesn't know what a non-24 sleep wake disorder is, info below the cut with some personal anecdotes mixed in ↓
I really wish there was a separate tag for Caitlyn fans who hate how she was written in season 2 but still like her original league concept/writing from season 1. Whenever I go looking for conversations about what went wrong all I find are posts awash with utter hatred for the character. Or I find people who embrace season 2 Caitlyn without issue.
There are a few people who share this opinion about Caitlyns writing but they are few and far between and you have to sift through so much vitriol to find them.
I want to finish these wips (I have a lot more sobs) but its really hard for me to know when things look good and are accurate or not. No matter how much I study, see references, my brain cant understand spatial awarenes and proportions. I will finish them and I will get better at this, but it will take time (I struggle with chibis too). Thats one of the reasons why im so slow (besides suffering from chronic pain and stuff).
A special flavor of autistic hell is acting according to the social rules that you've been learning your entire life, and then being laughed at by people who have never learned the same rules Like, what do you mean you're giving me a gift of two of the same thing in one bag and want me to give you one back? Dude, you packed it for me. You know what a gift is??
