sometimes i remember my age and think ohhhhhhhh noooooooo i am so far behind i am so far behind
#maxbarks#aging doesn't bother me it's the fact that i have mentally plateaued and i don't feel a day over 20#but that's my fault for never pushing myself out of the agoraphobia and social anxiety and instead staying in my comfort zone for years#rarely having any new experiences#not that it matters#due to circumstances i cannot fix this#and i mean i did objectively learn and change a lot in the last several years it's not like i'm the exact same person as my 20 y/o seld#self*#i dunnoooo i'm just kinda embarrassed i don't feel as adult as i should#and everyone else seems so far ahead of me even younger people#<- ohhh and that's the real embarrassing part#what do you mean my two younger brothers have wives and jobs and homes of their own and do everything for themselves and i can't even drive
