Chillin’

5 years ago today is when I finally started seriously pursuing art as a passion and potential career. Usually I redraw the first piece I ever finished, but one of the characters in said piece belongs to an artist I’ve had the misfortune of being directly involved in a devastating disagreement with. So this year instead, I submitted myself to complete self-indulgence in recognizing my own growth and coming to accept who I am and standing for it.

#my art #my work #self-drawing #sorry about all the ramblings #but I did this for myself #and needed that catharsis #this actually took me several weeks to finish #because I made sure only to work on it when I wanted #instead of pushing myself to finish like I usually did before #but in the end #I'm proud of myself #not just of this one picture and how it came out #but how I've come out in all this time #still got a lot of things to work on #a lot of healing left to do #but I'm more open to the idea of healing now than I used to #and if anything #it's a start
