Cover reveal of my gay cowboy romance novel! Not sure when it's gonna get published, but I'm aiming for sometime this summer!

I generally don't like most modern romance covers; they're either too YA-looking or just shirtless men with abs and yet I was still pushed to create something a little more "romance" than my first iterations, so I leaned on vintage pulp western book covers from the 40s/50s and came up with this! I'm very pleased with it, personally.

Anyway, if you're at all interested, check out the book description and keep an eye out for details later. :) You can also read it now on Patreon but I understand most people just want an e-book to buy. It's great for anyone who is a) a horse girl (in spirit or in body), b) wants to read about gay/bi cowboys c) wants to read about a trans cowboy and d) people who love books about mess, hurt/comfort, healing from trauma, and thick Oklahoma accents.

ISMENE AND THE VOICE

A frustrated bookseller escapes her disintegrating society to attempt becoming one with a sentient library, and maybe do what she can for her country too.

I am going to start putting my novel Ismene and the Voice up on Royal Road, and selling the complete text as an ebook. I think I may start in December.

I figure, why not. I can share it with the world. Maybe. It's a weird world out there. I'm drafting Quin's book, which is a somewhat spicy mage-meets-prince with ~ skeletons ~, and I'll eventually fix up stories set in Armor Pilot Vier (you know; giant robots and the space war; sentient nonhuman life; post-rebuilding after the corporate hegemony). But Ismene has been done for a while, and querying got me nowhere, and creation is a beautiful thing and why not share it. Even now.

I will post some excerpts soon. I have a question.

I love all of your writing! I for one am so glad you started on AO3 because it makes it easier to come back to/find the stories I love rereading (in other words everything you write). I saw you are apparently self-publishing maybe/physical copies?! I would love to be on a notification list when/if this happens. Thank you for writing!!!

Okay I am letting tumblr make a major career decision for me. I have a book I just finished editing: it is a gay and trans and sci-fi retelling of A Shakespeare play. Should I self- publish it or try to find someone to publish it?

Self-publish it! I need that trans space gex now!

Another chapter and the plot has arrived! Well... the b plot. We'll get to that later. But the lady channeling the Oracle of Delphi in the waffle house is probably the least of their problems in this week's update of Damn Good Party
