This is a Mom Jeans. cover. It’s from their self-titled EP that I do not recommend listening to. But this song is hella cool, and the riffs are dope, so I made a cover of it.

I see the broken glass through the scratched up lenses of my knock off ray ban glasses. They're not even mine but no one's claimed them yet so I guess they're mine.  I'm sitting uncomfortable cause' last year's shorts are now too small that's thanks to all the weight i've gained while off to college. 

My hands are tied and my lips are sealed. Apple bongs and washed up songs. You're the reason why I smoked and you're the reason why I don't anymore. You pierced my side with the same needle that you pierced your ears, you pierced my ears with a safety pin, but they look just fine. And you say you're happy, but you only smile in your instagrams. It'll take much more than a filter to fool me, but I'm not sure if this is worth the trouble that's going to cost me, but then again fuck it I might as well just stay.  

Cause' I am afraid of the monsters inside of my closet. I am still scared of losing, my friends are out cruising without me and all that I write is confusing. My face is sore on the spot where you slapped me. My days with you are numbered, and that's just fine. Cause' I'm tired of waiting for you to decide that the moment is right. But I've tried, and I've tried to explain how my life got so badly messed up. Shut up, you just don't give a fuck. And I know how low your standards can go. And I've got lots to show from your blows to my face. And my nose is still broken, my heart is still cracked, but this act is just not quite as fun as it used to be.
