Last year was the first year of my teen/adult life that I wore a two piece. This year was the first yea I had the confidence to wear a two piece that’s not high waisted or hides my pancita. It’s an ongoing process but every day I fall in love with my body and it’s changing form. There is no wrong or right body type/size/shape/look. I’ve spent years deprogramming the bullshit idea that thin = healthy / euro centric features = standard for beauty…all while fighting the mass produced image of what a “Latina” looks like (aka curvy, sexy, and skinny). I’ve been through tough times and done unhealthy things to achieve a look that I thought others wanted and that shit ain’t ever happening again. I finally choose to love myself first before anyone else and there’s been no going back. TBH 14 year old me would be gagging at the fact I’d post this pic but would also be stoked at how hot we are now. 😂😜 So here’s to remembering that you are beautiful and magical just as you are and fuck anyone who doesn’t see your light and the blessing that you are.
