Can you do one where Masaomi noticed Saki wasn't there when he got home and at first he wasn't really that worried but he increasingly gets more worried and anxious as time goes on. And so he goes out looking for her and at some point asked Mikado for help only to realize he was in a similar situation with Anri. You can do whatever in the middle but id like it that at the end they find out that Saki and Anri were just hanging out around town or something. Love this blog btw!
Things were finally peaceful. Itwas a little bit weird if he were to be honest, he’d been living in constantbattle with himself and with the world for so long that a peaceful life wassomething that he could only dream of. But actually having that dream as areality was almost too overwhelming for him; he’d been living every day sinceeverything ended like a daydream. Bright smiles and warm company, carelessdays, moments where he could live the life of a stupid teenager.
No need to panic, no need tofret. They were safe now; Ikebukuro was as peaceful as a city could be. They’dface the worst that could happen, surely anything else thrown their way wouldbe nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
He decided that a walk around thecity would be fun. And it was. He saw familiar faces, new faces, people happyjust to be with friends. He saw and chatted with his comrades, those people whostood by him when he felt the world was shattering around him. He smiled atthose who have always guided him, those who’ve treated him like an adult butalways remembered that despite his maturity he was still a kid growing up.
He lived and breathed Ikebukuro. This was his home, this was where his family resided.
She’s safe. Just having fun, justas he was. Just because they were dating didn’t mean they had to spend everywaking moment together. She had her own life now too, she had her own wings tospread, especially now since she was no longer under the control of thatbastard of a man. She was free, free, free, and he wanted her to know whatfreedom tasted like.
She was fine. Probably. Mostlikely. Of course she was.
Saki’s a strong girl despite herlooks. Clever to a fault, even; what she lacked in physical strength orfighting skill she made up for with her charms and looks and brains. Despitehow much he despised Izaya Orihara, he was still a smart cookie and she learnedfar too much from him. She’d be fine.
Mikado was a welcome distraction. His bright eyes, happy smile, enjoyable company. His blood brother, meek andmild but wild beneath that exterior. Kida loved him with his all, would crossworlds and walk through hell countless times for him.
He could not stop his anxiety. He’ddecided that confiding in Mikado was something that he should always do fromnow on. “I’m worried about Saki.”
Mikado tilted his head inquestion. He did not know Saki all too well just yet, but he always made aneffort to bridge the gap between them; he wanted to be friends with the girlthat had stolen his playboy friend’s heart. “Did something happen?”
Kida rolled his shoulders in ashrug. He knew he was probably over thinking things but he couldn’t help but beparanoid. “I just... I just don’t know where she is.”
“Are you out looking for her now?”Mikado asked. After everything that’s happened, he’d grown up some despitehaving his always enthusiastic personality. “Well I was looking for Anri-chantoo. We were supposed to meet up today but... I guess she forgot...”
“She stood you up,” Kida joked, bodily draping his arm over Mikado’s shoulder. “Alright. Then this is a man’squest, looking for the loves of our lives together!”
“Why does everything have to beso dramatic with you?”
It was easier to forget theirworries when they were together. In fact, they did forget for a moment thatthey were on a quest. They were just boys, young and free and painting the townred. The world was at their fingertips and nothing could stop them
“You look as if you’re enjoyingyourselves.”
Kida smiled brightly even thoughhe didn’t see the face that the voice belonged to. He could recognize itanywhere. He spun around, Mikado’s shoulders still locked underneath his arm. “Myprincess!”
“My prince,” Saki replied with awry grin. She did a curtsey. Anri beside her fidgeted, but there was a smile onher face.
“How I’ve missed you!” Kida saidloudly, too loudly, already drawing eyes to their little group. “You know notthe seas I’ve travelled, the wars I’ve fought, just to see your lovely smileonce more.”
“Hi Anri-chan,” Mikado greetedless theatrically.
“Ah, Mikado-kun. I’m sorry, Iforgot to text you back,” she bowed her head apologetically. “I didn’t planthis—“
“Sometimes in life, things don’tgo according to plan,” Saki interrupted. Kida’s arm was around her shouldersnow protectively, holding her close with his cheek pressed against the top ofher head. “Take for example: I never knew that Anri-chan would become so dearto me.”
Anri could not help the blush onher cheeks. She’d gotten used to both Mikado and Kida telling her how much theycared for her. It was always a new experience when someone else started to carefor her too. “Mikajima-san...”
“I told you,” Saki insisted witha small pout on her lips but a gleeful glint in her eyes. “Just call meSaki-chan.”
“Onwards!” Kida shouted. “For together,we will overcome new conquests together!”
“E-eh?” Anri asked, somehow beingswept along in both Kida and Saki’s magical world.
“A double date,” Mikado supplied, keeping up pace with them. “After a while, you start to understand how to decipherKida-talk.”
