Unexpected Transfer (@selfishregina)
"Today, we're getting a transfer student." It was the first thing first year middle school homeroom teacher said upon entering the classroom. "Due to various circumstances, it seems that he was taken in recently by the student council's secretary's family. It seems like this is his first time attending a normal school, so I hope you'll be kind to him."
Grumbling outside the door, where he had been told wait, Ira fussed with the collar of the stupid uniform jacket that Rikka had thrust upon him that morning. His eyebrows knitted together as he plucked at the fabric, before heaving a huge sigh- this wasn't his idea of fun at all!
He had thought something weird was going on- Rikka and her mother had been going behind his back for a few days now- he just didn't expect that the thing they were plotting was sending him to school.
He wasn't even human, what purpose did going to school even serve him? He wouldn't even be in the same grade as Rikka, but was rather entering as a first year middle school student. How had they enrolled him in the first place?
And why did they enroll him using Rikka's last name?
He'd argued against it, of course he had! But well... Rikka and her mother could each be pretty powerful in their own way. He'd lost in the end, and a grinning Rikka had dragged him to the campus early that day to get everything finalized. Well, at least she had let him keep wearing his favorite shirt and choker underneath the jacket- which he had loosened the moment Rikka had looked away.
What was a Selfish doing studying anyways? What was the point? Well, the number of people who would have known he was a Selfish were limited- especially with his batwings curled neatly behind his ears for a change, but it still didn't make any sense to him!
"Hishikawa-san, can you please come in?" Ira yawned a little, taking a moment to remember that meant him- and heaved an annoyed sigh, opening up the door and walking into the classroom.
Where he promptly froze as he spotted a very familiar big red bow.
